I am passionate about music, love the outdoors, love to laugh, and enjoy the game of basketball. I can appreciate a good variety of cuisine, but am ironically slim. I am generally active, but can also pass the time getting lost in a good movie or book. Somewhat nomadic in spirit and love to travel, but also laidback in nature and can appreciate the cosy comforts of home.

Personality-wise, I am a fun-loving, easygoing person who enjoys being social. I like meeting people who are comfortable in their own skin and can shoot the breeze about almost anything under the sun. =)

I've been in the Bay Area for about 4 years now... 2 in the East Bay, 2 in the South Bay. I'm gradually settling into the place, but still feel somewhat like a newbie. Would really like to explore all that this place has to offer... beaches, hiking trails, good restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. Maybe I might eventually move up to SF.... although I'm fine with venturing up every other now and then. Any recommendations of places to check out or things to do are always welcome!

(Disclaimer: I like the following tv shows, but I almost never watch tv. My schedule and lifestyle is such that I can never program myself to sit in front of the tube at a fixed time on a particular day. So, based on a chance encounter, a friend's recommendation, or just public acclaim, I find out about a show and watch it through netflix or buy the season dvd).

Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Heroes, Dexter, Weeds, Dead Like Me, Stargate Atlantis

Movies:
I love to laugh, so I absolutely love comedies... and I'm always up for some sci-fi or action/adventure as long as it has a decent (somewhat original) plot, great special effects and entertaining screenplay.

Lord of The Rings Trilogy, Jerry Maguire, Artificial Intelligence, The Matrix, Ocean's Eleven, A Few Good Men, Forrest Gump, Back to the Future Trilogy, In Good Company, Wedding Crashers, Anger Management, Bruce Almighty, Fun with Dick and Jane... practically all Judd Apatow comedies

Food:
Will try almost anything but especially like Italian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese... always on the lookout for a good ramen place and will rarely say no to a good steak

Seldom are my friday nights typical, but if I were to put something down it would be either catching up with friends or enjoying a good movie. (and occassionally watching basketball... when its NBA season)

Although not a 'trekkie', I am kinda fascinated by sci-fi theories about time travel, wormhole travel, teleportation, etc and can enjoy movies or stories that explore these themes intellectually. So I guess that makes me sort of a semi sci-fi geek? (oh and yes I know its not real hehe)
