I am bright, loud, and maybe mythological.

My Self-Summary

Some days I'm really quiet and I mostly keep to my desk/apartment and listen to my music or book or podcast or whathave you.

Other days, I'm much louder than I think I am and dive headlong into conversation with loutish, over-opinionated vigor (do I use a 'u' to spell that? I forget).

I enjoy most forms of adventure, writing, hanging on front porches and coffeeshops. I like learning new things and meeting new people as much as possible.

I require absurd amounts of caffeine in order to function and thus end up spending a lot of my time in coffee establishments. Reading a book/newspaper or surfing the internet.

What I’m doing with my life

Working, riding my bike, hanging out with my friends, stealing milkcrates, exploring alleyways, eating, sleeping, reading.

I’m really good at

Surviving on less than seven hours of sleep per night, eating lentils, drinking coffee, minding my own business on the subway, talking to random strangers on the subway, dodging death/dismemberment on my bicycle, writing ridiculously long winded livejournal entries, having 10,000 notebooks bouncing around my life.

However, I'm definitely not really good at pool. In fact, I'd say I'm epicly incompetent at it.

The first things people usually notice about me

Erm, the glasses, maybe? Also, I'm sometimes I'm kindof squinty when I'm tired.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Ubik, Foundation series, Generation X, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Naked Lunch. Lately, I've been listening to books at work more than reading.

Movies: Clerks, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Waking Life, Blade Runner, Pi, The Royal Tanenbaums, The Life Aquatic, Being John Malkovich, The Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Music: trance, synthpop, anything psychedelic-ish, hip-hop, techno, shoegazer, late 80's/early 90's alt rock, a bunch of things really...ask me?

Food: Falaffel, burritos, nachos, pizza, olives, pumpkin pie, cheese, soy milk, baklava, brussel sprouts (for serious), bread, other baked goods, most things spicy

Beverages (I know its not supposed to be a category, but whatever): Coffee, beer, coconut water, energy drinks, exotic (to me) soft drinks

The six things I could never do without

cellphone, iPod touch, coffee, internet connection, apartment, bicycle

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually out at a bar somewhere. If not that, then hanging out someplace else with my friends.
