What I’m doing with my life
I'm an engineer in a cubicle farm by day.
A law student by night. Trying to get my "patent attorney" thing on. (I'm taking this summer off from classes.)
And a hang glider pilot on the weekends. If you don't know what that is: http://vimeo.com/20775072 An acquaintance of mine is financing a pretty interesting film on the subject. That is a partial trailer.
I’m really good at
Interneting for answers,
Either with Google or Westlaw I can find you the answer to anything. Don't even try to flex against my crushing Boolean operators.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my stature. I'm tall and thin.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don’t like to define myself by the media I consume. IE: The whole “I’m really into Van Halen; that’s just who I am. That’s me.” But I think it serves a different purpose in this case:

Books:
Mostly books for their knowledge about relevant stuff like weather, aerodynamics, economics, history etc.
For philosophy, and entertainment:
Vonnegut, Twain, Saint-Exupery, Persig, Hitchens, Hunter Thompson, Hesse, Dostoevsky.

Movies: Brazil, Koyaanisqatsi, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (The family just got bigger.)

Shows: This American Life, Radiolab

Music: KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic, Pandora or an alternative, Shins, Camera Obscura, Built to Spill, Yacht, Junior Boys, Ozma.

Food: Trendy Asian fusion food of all sorts including Pho. Americanized Mexican is pretty good in all types of weather. Anything with Sriracha on it.
The six things I could never do without
Internet phone (android in my case)
The internet
Chrome w/ 50 tabs open
Reddit
Dreaming up next weekend's adventure
HFCS-55
On a typical Friday night I am
Preparing the car for a weekend adventure.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I wont admit private things on the internet.
