My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a really easy going person. I get along really well with other people, so long as they aren't fake and they have a sense of humor. Personally, I take very little seriously. Everything is funny if you look at it the right way. I've traveled extensively and spent close to five years living abroad. Typically, I feel comfortable in any situation. I love books, sports, movies, music and games. I mean board games and bar games, not relationship games. I don't play those.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach third grade at an Expeditionary Learning school in Gallup, NM. I also take graduate level education classes. I wouldn't mind writing the next great American novel, but who has the time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd say I'm an intelligent person who gets along well with others. I am a spectacular cook (not to brag too much) and I think I have a good sense of humor. I am definitely good at laughing, usually at myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't mind my tongue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - anything by Vonnegut, Bukowski, or Hunter Thomson. I also like the sci-fi greats, Hebert, Clarke, Dick (he-he) and Asimov. I have a soft spot for fantasy, so Tolkein and Martin. I enjoy Chuck Palahniuk. My favorite might be Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Also, I love graphic novels. The Watchmen and V for Vendetta are great, but The Sandman is king. I used to read a lot, but the whole work and school thing put a halt to that.

Movies - all kinds. The Room, Fight Club, Seven, The Life Aquatic, Stranger Than Fiction, Pulp Fiction, Nightwatch, City of God, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and hundreds of others. I also enjoy a good, balanced documentary.

Shows - The Wire, Treme, Curb, The League, Archer, Futurama, Its Always Sunny, Game of Thrones (a guilty pleasure), The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and Arrested Development (probably the smartest tv show ever written).

Music - everything. Cake, Billie Holiday, Portishead, Marty Robbins, Immortal Technique, Old Crow Medicine Show, Brother Ali, Lyrics Born, DJ Shadow, Desmond Dekker, The Specials, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keys, Bon Iver, Beethoven, MMW, MF Doom, Rap News, and so many others.

Food - All.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My passport, my computer, a book to read, a kitchen of some sort. That's about it. I'm not really a thing person.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Right now, work and school. Before that, unicorns and rainbows and bright eyed puppies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe having a beer at the pub or catching last night's Daily Show. I guess it depends on the Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I'm willing to admit it, its not private.
