My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a chap who moved from Scotland to Amsterdam to provide fussiness about punctuation to the Dutch's collective lives. And then I decided to stay and it might be pretty good to meet some people.

You'll often find me singing, playing guitar, writing, drawing, taking photos, learning about video editing... really anything creative that keeps me busy. And the rest of the time, I'm to be found risking life and limb on my bike or wandering around with friends.

What would I like from you? Intelligence, honesty, directness and sparkly eyes are welcome. A creative streak and a sense of fun are essential.

In return you get someone who will amuse and exhaust you in equal, hopefully good, measures. Also I make frankly amazing chicken wings.

The only thing I really want to avoid is drama. So, if you fit this description in part or full, like 50s and 60s soul music (or want to), can sing like Emmylou Harris, or simply think we'll be friends - say hello.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm really lucky that I get to make a living doing something creative. Corporate communications isn't the most open arena for making new, innovative things, but working in its limits is genuinely challenging. Also, free coffee and fruit on Wednesdays.

In my real life, I create stuff: stories, art, music, confusion. It's fun, it helps me relax and people seem to enjoy it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
This seems a little boastful, but in keeping with my earlier theme:

Making bacon rolls
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes and possibly the fact I'm technically awake at 9am but of no earthly use to anyone.

Movies: No Country For Old Men, Robocop, The Thing

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A nice guitar (or failing that, any guitar)
Tragically, my iPad
Sleep - I would literally die without it
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I can't seem to go more than a week without breaking something on my bike.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Recently, sleeping off the exhaustion of the previous week. But other times, post-work drinks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Save it for the date.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You can string a sentence together, enjoy the films of the Coen brothers, know the difference between passive and active sentences, and can make me laugh - even a little.

Also, a message that only says "Hi, how's you?" is unlikely to garner a reply.
