I'm big on open-heartedness, honesty, and humor. I think it's important to have some kind of passions and interests in addition to working and partying. I believe exercise is as good for your confidence and general well-being as it is for your physique and health. I'm attracted to people with a solid sense of self, and who aren't obsessed with the approval of others.
I'm not big on any preoccupation with being "masc" or declaring who you're not into. Of course it's perfectly natural to have preferences, but I find it tacky and closed-minded to tell entire categories of people that they're wasting your time. Money and status don't mean much to me, I'm more interested in the content of your character.
I'm a person with many sides. I love parties and socializing. My favorite aspect of New York is the chance to meet people from all over the world and all walks of life. I also value alone time, like running through the park to my favorite music or having a good book as my dinner date. I love an excuse to dress up for a fancy event. I also love an excuse to dress up in something crazy and put my white boy moves on display (see pictoral evidence).
I love being a gay man and know that it has had a huge impact on the person I've become. It opened up a whole different life and perspective, in a much broader sense than just the gender I'm attracted to. At the same time, I strive for balance. I enjoy hopping around gay bars with friends once or twice a month. I count pride weekend as one of my favorite holidays. Fire Island is a bit overwhelming for me; I'd rather spend the money on a trip abroad, ya know?
