My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Having lived all across the country, I find myself back in the bay. Curious, inquisitive, silly, grounded, driven, and something of a peacekeeper are words that I feel begin to describe me.

I love everything to do with music, be it seeing it, hearing it, playing it, studying it, etc. I also enjoy soccer, basketball, board games, microbrews, film, and trying my absolute darndest to get every animal I ever come across to absolutely love me.

I will finish this little chapter off with what I am looking for. First and foremost, and I know this could be construed as somewhat selfish, I am looking for somebody who can challenge me. Seeing as how I am (shocking spoiler alert!) not perfect, I feel that the best relationships are those in which both sides can help the other become better people. I have learned some of my greatest lessons in life from previous relationships, and I view them as an opportunity to grow. Of course I am not trying to downplay the benefits of companionship, camaraderie, having somebody to place confidence in, etc. I just find the special dynamic in relationships to be optimal for making better people. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying each day while simultaneously bringing as many smiles to others as possible. Or groans due to bad and/or poorly times jokes.

Oh, and trying to brush up on one of the languages I studied in college. So sad I have forgotten so much. If you care to help, please apply within.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Laughing. Making others do the same. Lightening things up. Speaking many languages incredibly poorly. Spending hours scouring wikipedia for tidbits of knowledge I will never have any use for. Making. Incomplete sentences. Not taking myself, or life, too seriously.

And most importantly: spider relocation. I feel I should have a commercial for the superior service I provide in this regard. Any aspiring entrepreneurs out there?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Smiles. Eyes. Laughter. Though not necessarily in that order.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: High Fidelity, The Stand, Jurassic Park (actually the first "chapter book" I ever read, so it will always hold a special place in my heart), Lord of the Rings trilogy, Siddhartha

Movies: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Adaptation, Jurassic Park (did I mention I loved dinosaurs and wanted to be a paleontologist as a kid?), 2001: A Space Odyssey, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Blade Runner, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Shows: Sherlock. Only Sherlock. Oh, and Game of Thrones. (note: I am apparently a bad Sherlock fan, as I have yet to start this season)

Music: The past few years it has been mostly jazz, so Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, Coltrane, and lots and lots and lots of more modern artists (Kurt Rosenwinkel, Vijay Iyer, Brad Mehldau, Michael Brecker, Ben Monder, Jonathan Kreisberg, etc.). Aside from jazz, the Beatles, Bowie, Johnny Cash, Fugazi to name a few. And let's face it, nobody likes these endless lists anyway, so I will just stop here.

Food: Basically anything vegetarian-friendly, e.g. Indian, Thai, Japanese (well, any of it that doesn't have fish), pasta, and lots of tofu.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family

2. Friends

3. Music

4. A guitar (or two or three)

5. Sex and kink (in all of their forms)

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

Where I have been

Where I am going

Cuddling (!)

Kink (and exploration in general)

How to combine the aforementioned two

Ways of living and being happy

My own values and their constant reevaluation (something I value highly in others)

If Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, will there be enough room? I have been trying to figure this one out my whole life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I really don't have a typical Friday night. I could be out getting drinks with friends, dancing, sitting at home playing guitar, hosting a board game night with friends, or any combination of the above.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
