Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m looking for a smart woman in a real short skirt.*
Is there a typical divorced male baby boomer? I'm dedicated to my
good friends, a step son in life and a few "machine" related
hobbies. I work at a job I generally enjoy and go straight home,
watch a bit of TV, go to sleep and then do it again. I need to get
a life. :))
* Oh, about the headline; it is from a Jimmy Buffet song titled
"Smart Woman" from his "Hot Water" album. I've been a fan of his
since before it was cool to be a "Parrot Head" and really like and
identify with a lot of his early work as I grew up on the east
coast of Florida.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Started a new job in July of 2011 and am much happier than I've
been in the 5 or so years. It is so nice to feel appreciated and
have your ideas and opinions respected in a professional capacity
at this point in life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Fixing things. I can work with wood, metal, electronics and most
all mechanical devices. I've worked as a carpenter, mechanic and
for the past 25 years as a Biomedical Equipment Technician either
in a hospital environment or for a medical equipment manufacturer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My white/grey hair (it started turning grey in my late 20s)? I'm
fairly quiet, always polite, soft spoken and contemplative. Some
friends have mentioned that I always seem calm and hardly ever get

Techno thrillers, Science fiction and adventure touring on
motorcycles. SyFy channel for Eureka, Haven and Warehouse 13.
Music that you can hear and understand the lyrics, 60s-70s
intelligent Rock and Roll, contemporary Jazz, Instrumental "New
Age", Bluegrass, Celtic but definitely no RAP or hip hop. WWII
vintage aircraft piston engines and unmuffled racing car engines
are also music to my failing hearing.
Food: Mexican, BBQ, Thai, Vietnamese, Italian ...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, food, a few good friends, the internet, Ambien CR and my
pets. Update: the Ambien CR is now pretty much out of the picture.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How nice it would be to come home to my best friend and lover every
day. It would really be nice because she would be smart and like to
wear short skirts for me too.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Chilling with a bottle of a decent Cabernet or Merlot and SyFy
channel or a movie. Steaks on the grill generally fit in there
somewhere. Real exciting, right. I really need to get out more. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll fill in the details on that with the right person.
