I think these tend to all sound the same. I like travel and beaches as much as the next guy, but I don't get why they need to be up front and center in so many first paragraphs. Anyway, I like beaches fine, and travel is cool, too, though I do work a job where anything more than a weekend requires plenty of advance planning.
I'm here, I suppose, for the same reasons everyone else is - I am not seeing anyone, and figure this may be another avenue to try to meet someone special, and/or meet some new friends along the way. My other profile stuff seems to cover my basic interests (Yoga, Aikido, Music, Dogs, Literature, Theater, Volunteering, Running, etc.), so feel free to ask about any of the above...

I am contemplative, playful, and resiliant

I am an attorney with a good firm in Annapolis, MD. Prior to that, I was a bartender in Annapolis for several years, paying my way through undergrad part time and then doing the law school thing full time. I bought a little townhome a couple of years ago, and, when I can, am busy tring to fix that up, while keeping the dog entertained on the weekends, practicing Yoga, and Aikido. I read a bunch, and catch live music whenever possible. Just started guitar lessons a couple of months ago - I suck - but I am enjoying trying to suck less.

I can make a mean margarita. I'm a good writer (present work notwithstanding). I have fantastic opinions on movies, music and literature - just ask me. I wouldn't say that I'm "good" at Aikido, but I practice 2-3 days a week and really love it.

I'd like to say something like "my rugged chin and John Wayne-like presence," but that would be immodest and an outright lie. I can come across as more serious than I actually am, until you get to know me a little better. Dry wit/sarcasm.

Way too much to include on the music front, but the very favorites: Van Morrison, The Band, Bob Dylan, The Clash, U2, Johnny Cash, The Counting Crows, The Grateful Dead, The Beastie Boys, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Books: Again, an awful lot, but Of Mice and Men, Slaughterhouse Five, A Prayer for Owen Meaney, A River Runs Through It, Shoeless Joe.
