I'm generally a low-key person, but I tend to get very enthusiastic about my interests and love to see that same kind of enthusiasm in others, even if its not for a topic I feel the same about. I love going to used book and record shops and coming back with interesting finds. I'm more or less a geek and love reading and learning about math, science, philosophy, psychology, movies, music and whatever other random facts I can pick up. For the most part I just do my own thing and try to let others do theirs. I also try not to draw too much attention to myself, which I'm sure is really helping me write this now. I like to remain laid back, take things as they come and try to keep a sense of humor about the world.

I am messy, introverted, and reserved

I'm working as an electrical engineer for the US Navy. Currently it means I'm traveling out of town about two weeks every month, which puts some limits on what I can take part in around the city, but its a decent job for now. Other than that I guess what I'm doing is trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life.

I tend to take pop culture at my own pace, my tastes run pretty broad across books, movies and music but and while I'm not particularly anti-mainstream, I seem to get diverted easily into odd and esoteric things. Ususaly there's alot I've encountered, but alot I've missed as well. I'll keep it genera:

A) I have the bad combination of ADD and book addiction, resulting in a lot of half to three quarters read books. I love going to bookstores in general and used bookstores in particular, because I love that thrill of finding some random out of print book you never knew existed. As far as what I read in general, lately I've been reading more nonfiction: philosophy, spirituality/esoteric/occult/whatever, psychology, and some math and science, ...if you consider all that nonfiction.

B)I watch a wide range of movies, form indies to big studio stuff. Love documentaries and foreign films. I use my netflix account to the fullest.

C) I listen to alot of music. I'll optimistically say something from every genre, but thats probably not true. I tend to stick largely to rock and pop with a bit of an experimental edge, but I'll really listen to just about anything.

Either at home relaxing with my current netfix, or out with a few friends.
