I have roots in rural California but thoroughly enjoy NYC. I try my best to live well and to give others room to do likewise. As much as I love the city, I miss the mountains and the woods and the desert and would love to meet people to get outdoors with. I'm quiet, stubborn, driven, appreciative, odd, earnest, silly and sometimes sweet.

I work for a modern dance company, traveling and performing and exploring.

I also read, tinker with collages, wander the city, avoid doing dishes, hang out with my wonderful friends, and keep a veritable forest of house plants alive with as little water as possible.

I love folk (Judee Sill, anyone?), classic rock, and most classical music. I'll listen to anything twice.

Thai and Mexican and anything spicy. Soup is the fail-safe meal - all you need is the starter stone...Breakfast is the only reason I get out of bed. Coffee in the am, whiskey in the winter, gin in the summer, beer anytime.

I don't watch much TV but I'm obsessed with Mad Men and Downton Abbey. The Wire recently took over my Netflix queue.

WNYC might as well be my roommate.

Things are things, but wilderness, books, friends and performing help make life worthwhile.

- dancing and the music I dance to and how to get that melody off of repeat.
- how to keep growing and preparing for when I have to stop making my life onstage, a moment otherwise known as the end of my knees.
- my current book/magazine.
- when I next get to camp near, backpack in or just see a mountain.
- whether or not I'm going to live in this city for the rest of my life.
