Self summary.. I think I better come out and be blunt on a few things. I feel like I have vastly different reason to be on here than most people. I'm not interested in one night stands (never have, never will), booty calls (same deal), and really anyone except those who are looking to find someone with integrity and have it themselves. ;)

I'm not too excited about being single anymore and I'm looking for a great person to meet. I'm extremely down to earth but I don't settle so I'm looking for someone who deserves as much as they offer, or at least in the same ballpark.

I grew up in Sandy mostly, considered moving out of state for work and decided I liked Utah too much to move for now. I built a home in Saratoga last year and I really enjoy it out here. I own my own company I and also work for another home automation software company as their CTO. Work is not my life though, it pays the bills and I enjoy it but there are more important things in life.

I love the arts, anything from music, plays, musicals, exhibits, you name it. I think city plays can be as fun to see as broadway ones, it's their love of it and how hard people try that I enjoy seeing.

Movies are also important to me, I watch several a week and I'm having serious withdrawals since my projector went out and I haven't seen any at home for a few weeks. I have seen a number of great movies in the theater lately so that's been nice to get out. Yes Man was great, go see it if you haven't...

Music, .. it's always on at my house. It's always been something I use to influence my mood. I like most everything from classical to rock. Pink Floyd, Rush, Nickel Creek, James Taylor, Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies, Jason Mraz, and this week it's been a new favorite Joshua Radin. There are some really talented people out there, many I've only found out from friends and rhapsody... I do play some instruments, guitar, mandolin, bass, drums and piano, though the guitar is the only thing I'm comfortable with. Piano is my newest instrument (just got it) so I've been spending some nights learning how difficult it really is to play. ;) Hahaha... It took 4 hours just to learn half of Konstantine! Seriously!!! What, two dozen notes at most in that song?!?!

Other things.. I like to travel and there's about 20 countries on my list to visit, mostly in Europe. I've barely been outside the US and to be honest most of my trips are to Florida or California.

I love to stay home for a quiet night, go to friends to play board games, see something going on for the day/week around town or other things, or go visit my family in Sandy and Herriman. I'm close with my family and usually see them every week. I'll admit I like to visit my sister if I'm in the office in west jordan that day, she's an amazing cook and lets be honest, cooking for yourself every day isn't as much fun. :) And I have two awesome nephews, one who I can get to smile and laugh when no one else can, he's 8 months old and just awesome.

Hopefully a lot!... .. I've done a fair bit, I've been published, built my dream home, have my dream job, have a great family, friends, and I've achieved just about every goal I've had and I've actually ran out of things, which is why I know it's time to move on in life and focus on things that matter and I'd trade everything to find the right person.

For now I think the biggest thing I'm doing in life right now is paying bills, fixing little things around the home, yard work -- just kidding (kind of) I don't have nearly the amount of free time I did years ago so I'm always doing something fun with any time I can get. I've got most of the big things checked off my life list so I'm much more concerned about enjoying life and being around people who are exciting. I'll admit I'm a slight bit picky when it comes to dating but I think everyone should be, I mean it's about who you're planning on spending the rest of your life with! But what's with all the decent girls in Utah all being Mormon and only looking to marry the future prophet? Seriously, it's one extreme or the other.

All sorts of things. Though it's probably more interesting to find out in person than for me to write about here.

Hair, it's spiky and can poke an eye out! I do care about looking good and staying fit (without obsessing either) Or that it's easy to talk with me about anything.

I read the HP series and just finished The Glass Castle... There's a few books that I've seen movies of and think I'd enjoy the book more but I haven't found time to get audio books (which I prefer) from the library, and where I live doesn't have a library...

Movies... Second Hand Lions is at the top of my list and is probably a good center of everything I like. Half of my movie collection is action, quarter is comedy and last quarter a mix of everything but horror.

For music I enjoy quite a variety. My favorite musical is Wicked. I mentioned some bands I like in my self summary...

For foods I enjoy sushi, spicy mexican, chinese, italian, and thai. Some places I miss because of where I live are Cafe Rio, Olive Garden, Happy Sumo, Noodles, Cafe Pierponte, The Garden, Red Robin, Chilli's, Applebee's, and taco bell - yes, there isn't one out here. My choices (within 5 miles) in order are an awesome chinese place with great sushi, Subway, Little Caesars, 5 Buck Pizza, some deli (I don't remember its name), Artic Circle, and Mc Donalds (It's a sad list isn't it...) The only place in Utah I consider "great" is Five Alls...
