I love design, art, film, graphics, architecture, furniture, etc. Give me Frank Lloyd Wright, Matisse, Bergman, a graphic novel, Dwell magazine and some Danish Modern furniture.
I love ideas, especially Paul Kennedy's! But seriously - politics, feminism, the environment, religion, literature, media. I don't love arguing but every once in a while we can have go! I'm a social studies and English teacher so I spend my working life talking about this stuff. I am a public radio junkie (CBC, CKUA, CJSW, NPR - I love 'em!).
I love to travel. From camel safaris in India, to listening to Joni Mitchell as I road trip down the Big Sur highway, to diving in search of whale sharks in Honduras, to stuffing my face with the hippest new fusion food at Smorgasburg in Brooklyn - I love adventures! Places I'm headed next: Ecuador and Peru? Japan? Halifax? Austin, TX?
I grew up loving the outside and the mountains so have some decent outdoor skills and equipment (snowboard/x-country/hike/backpack etc) but I will admit they have gotten dusty and rusty over the last few years. I have been focused on being a city girl so my activities have been mostly running, leisure bike riding (with a beautiful bicycle!) and yoga. I have kept up the x-country somewhat. The mountains have been calling my name lately.
