My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Like most people on here, I'm looking for a relationship. What I've learned is that relationships can take many forms and colors... like a snowflake, or a rainbow. I don't mean to get all poetic here, but I was an English major after all. Relationships are about connections, and people need connection in their life.

It takes a lot of courage to attempt online dating. There's the uncertainty, (do they like me, do I like them, am I talking too much, not enough, should I try and kiss them, do I have toilet paper stuck on my shoe, broccoli in my teeth, will they really call again?) and the possibility of rejection ( I'm sorry I just don't feel a connection... you're nice, but...).

Who I am is a single guy standing in front of a girl asking her to love him. No wait. That was Notting Hill. I am a single guy, though, hoping to meet a woman who is open to the possibility of a relationship. Relationships can start as friends, maybe stay as friends, fizzle out, or become something more. I'm open to all of those possibilities.

I am intelligent, awkwardly confident, creative, professionally employed, and have my "stuff" together. I'm young at heart, and I think that I'm pretty cool. I'm giving it my best shot, anyway. I love ALT rock, EDM and classic rock. Movies are a favorite, and my tastes range anywhere from American Beauty to Wedding Crashers, White Chicks, or Anchor Man. My favorite authors are John Irving and Steven King. I'm communicative, romantic, chivalrous, passionate, sensual, virile and funny as hell, even if I'm the only one laughing.
I'm probably quirky ! :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
By day, I am saving the citizens of Arizona through my work in government. At night, I fetch items from the top shelves in grocery stores for elderly women, pet the dogs of random strangers, or watch Dating Naked on VH-1.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Re-writing dating profiles.

I listen to the Alternative and Electronica channels on Pandora and Sirius/XM and I am constantly updating my playlists. Current favorites: Swedish House Mafia, Disclosure, London Grammar, Future Islands, Sam Smith, James Blake, Phantogram, Silversun Pickups, Cazzette, NIN, St. Lucia, Daft Punk, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Deadmau5, Chvrches, Nightmares in Wax.

I am vegetarian, leaning toward being vegan. I love Green Cafe at both the Tempe and Phoenix locations and I can always find vegetarian options at most restaurants. You won't find me at a steakhouse though :)

Too many favorite books to list, but one I will suggest if you are vegetarian or ever have considered becoming one. 'Eating Animals' by Jonathan Foer is the best writing on compassionate vegetarianism I've come across. After reading his exploration into factory farming, it will cause you to think twice about that steak on your dinner plate.

My current read is 'Haunted' by Chuck Palahniuk.

I'm a huge fan of True Blood on HBO. The Sundance channel is a favorite for indie and foreign films.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
