My self-summary
Do you remember love? The butterflies and goosebumps whenever you anticipated seeing that "special someone"? Do you remember the way time seemed to stand still, and the rest of the world fell away, whenever the two of you were together? Do you remember the first kiss...the first time that you made love?

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I believe in love and that's what I seek. I seek a love that is romantic and passionate beyond our wildest dreams, but one that is also built on trust, honesty, communication, respect, commitment and faithfulness.

I'm unlike most men you'd meet.. I'm emotionally available, nurturing, supportive, communicative, intelligent, articulate, inquisitive and well-read. I believe in chivalry and romance. I'm not afraid to be vulnerable, in fact I see that as one of my greatest strengths.

So, what am I looking for in a partner? Well, hopefully, you are playful, fun, spontaneous, adventurous, affectionate, love PDA, and romantic. You value intelligence, and maybe would even describe yourself as a nerd. You are open-minded, have a creative side, or you enjoy dance, theater, movies, music or literature. You're not afraid to laugh and be a goofball at times. You love animals and feel a sense of responsibility in leaving the world a better place. You're politically liberal or moderate. You've made mistakes, had failures, obstacles, or challenges in your life, but you view them as lessons learned and they've helped to shape the person you are today. You're not perfect, because neither am I. Perhaps most importantly, you seek a relationship that connects minds, hearts, spirits and bodies.

So, if you remember love and want to experience it again... or for the first time, I'd love to hear from you. Perhaps it will be, as the poet Browning once wrote, "Grow old along with me. The best is yet to be."

"Love is the affinity which links and draws together the elements of the world."
- Teilhard de Chardin

•"You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly."
- Sam Keen

"Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. I say, fall head over heels. Find someone you can love like crazy and who will love you the same way back. How do you find him? Well, you forget your head, and you listen to your heart. And I'm not hearing any heart. Cause the truth is, honey, there's no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love, well, you haven't lived a life at all. But you have to try, cause if you haven't tried, you haven't lived."
- ' Meet Joe Black'
What I’m doing with my life
Working in a professional capacity within Social Service programs. Striving always to be more connected and present in life, love and the "now."
I’m really good at
Deciding what needs to be done and then doing it. When I needed to lose weight, I did and lost 50 pounds. When I needed to focus on my career goals, I made a terrific career move. Now I face perhaps my biggest challenge, finding a mutually compatible match on OKC! :)

My time on OKC has had its fits and starts. A few dates that lacked the requisite mutual chemistry, one that I hoped would turn into more - but didn't, and numerous emails that never resulted in a meeting. But I refuse to give up or settle for less than I deserve, and I take comfort in the certainty that my match is out there, looking for me as well.

Where I'm going with this is this: I have a dogged and sometimes stubborn determination to see things through. That's actually a good thing in a relationship. I won't run when things get tough, or from my responsibilities as a partner or husband. It's about having a strength of character, a courage in the face of adversity, and a heart that stays true and strong to those that I love.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I listen to the Alternative and Electronica channels on Pandora and Sirius/XM and I am constantly updating my playlists.

I am vegetarian, leaning toward being vegan. I love Green Cafe at both the Tempe and Phoenix locations and I can always find vegetarian options at most restaurants. You won't find me at a steakhouse though :)

Too many favorite books to list, but one I will suggest if you are vegetarian or ever have considered becoming one. 'Eating Animals' by Jonathan Foer is the best writing on compassionate vegetarianism I've come across. After reading his exploration into factory farming, it will cause you to think twice about that steak on your dinner plate.

My current read is 'Haunted' by Chuck Palahniuk.

I'm a huge fan of True Blood on HBO. The Sundance channel is a favorite for indie and foreign films.
The six things I could never do without
Books, music, writing, love, affection and intimacy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Over the course of my life, I've come to realize that "stuff" doesn't really matter. The new car gets dinged in a parking lot, the paint on the house fades and cracks, a new outfit has a tear, or the company that we've devoted tireless days and years to closes without warning.

We spend so much time and effort attempting to create wealth and status that we lose sight of what really matters. When was the last time that you gazed at a star, realizing that the light that you see in that moment, originated before humankind walked on this earth? When did you last really hear the majesty of an ocean, or lay your head against your child's chest and listen to their heartbeat? When have you looked at the myriad of color in a garden in bloom, or smelled the air after a Summer rain?

Stuff doesn't really matter. What does matter is the indomitable human spirit, that which allows us to laugh, to cry, to hope when all appears lost, to fall but to stand again, and perhaps most importantly, gives the capacity to love.

I'm here for the purpose of meeting someone with whom there is the potential for developing a relationship that is long term and significant... NOT a friend with benefits, a one night stand, to join a couple, or to receive an invitation to view another website. If your intention is any of those, you'd be wasting your time contacting me.

I know my worth and also your own, so IF you are looking for a serious relationship with meaning, I'd love to hear from you ! :)
