Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Being the kind of person not to sit around waiting for
opportunities to come to me and working in a female-dominated
sector... I thought I'd give this a go!
I like: muddy walks, cups of tea, really good haircuts, writing
letters, real Christmas trees, real fires, power showers, the
cinema, cooking for other people, Yellowcraigs beach, really messy
bric-a-brac shops, strong cocktails, pub quizzes, weekends away,
books, picnics, photography, discovering new places, being
challenged and pushed outside of my comfort zone every now and
then, Sunday brunches, watching rugby, good food and good company
If you buy into Myers Briggs, apparently I'm ENFJ. In a Harry
Potter version of Myers Briggs I'm Dumbledore. I'm not sure that
tells you very much at all :)
Usually won over by a good beard, a big smile and a nice jumper!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in fundraising, exploring as much of Scotland as I can,
planning some travelling because I've been a sensible grown up for
too long already
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being spontaneous and taking up as many opportunities as I can!
I've done a skydive, a zip slide across the Clyde, and also trekked
the Great Wall of China with a few days notice.
Getting a bit drunk and using my fundraising skills to get free
drinks and/or talking to everyone and anyone like we're new best
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I smile a lot! And I'm still amazed and amused by the little
things in life.

Books: Captain Correlli's Mandolin (it made me cry like a baby!),
anything by Alexander McCall Smith, Tess of the D'Urbervilles,
Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood, Love in a Cold Climate and loads
more! Usually the books I like move me to laughter or to
Films: Silver Linings Playbook, Atonement, Etre et Avoir, Defiance,
Moonrise Kingdom, Brassed Off, anything by Jacques Tati, a lot of
random French and Spanish films because of the film paper I did for
part of my degree.
TV: The Apprentice makes me so mad but it's compulsive viewing! I'm
watching Grantchester because I lived in Cambridge for so long and
it's so beautiful. Anything on BBC4!
Music: Air Traffic, Two Door Cinema Club, The Pierces, Lana del
Rey, Lissie, Broken Bells, Florence + The Machine, Tracy Chapman,
Mystery Jets, Snow Patrol, The Hush Sound, Beirut, Paolo Nutini,
Keston Cobblers Club, Laura Marling, The Strokes, Ed Sheeran
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Tea; pomegranates; the Sunday Times; independent coffee shops; a
sense of humour
I've just noticed after several weeks that that's only 5 things so
the last one is... Halloumi cheese :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The gorgeous properties I walk past that I can't afford and how I'd
do them up; creative bits and pieces; plans for the weekend; goals
for the year.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out having a drink with friends, at the cinema or just making
dinner and having a glass of wine at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm ridiculously superstitious about magpies and even salute them
when I see them... usually pretending to brush my hair out of my
eye to hide it!
