Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an all or nothing person, an open book, with a sense of humour
that appreciates a good dad joke.
Being creative is one of my favourite things - knitting, sewing,
printing, making birthday cards. You name it! Thanks to this crafty
streak I'm obsessed with Pinterest and home magazines from which I
find inspiration for my long-term flat renovation.
Like nearly everyone I think I spend too much time in front of a
screen yet still write proper letters via snail mail. I love
planning ahead but usually end up doing something spontaneous. I'm
happiest when I'm busy and with people but also love to be alone
There's always a project on the go. With friends and their Westie
I've been walking all the sections of the John Muir Way recently (3
sections down, 7 to go!).
Secretly I think I yearn for the good life and an allotment.
If you buy into Myers Briggs, I'm ENFJ. In a Harry Potter version
of Myers Briggs... I'm Dumbledore!
I'm really independent but life's for sharing and it would be nice
to be part of a team. I read something in an online article
recently in which the writer said "I want to be single but with
you." By which I mean maintaining independence not at all an open
relationship!! If that sounds up your street, we're onto a winner.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in fundraising, exploring as much of Scotland as I can
(most recently beautiful Islay where I discovered that Highland
Cows come in black and silver as well as red).
The next exciting phase is a part-time MBA that I'm starting after
Christmas. I'm also part-way through a printmaking course which I
absolutely love so far!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being spontaneous and taking up as many opportunities as I can!
I've done a skydive, a zip slide across the Clyde, and trekked the
Great Wall of China with just ten days' notice.
Engaging complete strangers in conversation just about anywhere.
Usually not against their will :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A family member told me she usually knows where I am by listening
out for my laughter...! I took it as a compliment.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Captain Correlli's Mandolin (as long as you completely
ignore the awful ending and make up your own!), anything by
Alexander McCall Smith, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Alias Grace by
Margaret Atwood, Love in a Cold Climate. Too many to mention. I'm
always reading! Right now I'm getting into Religion for Atheists by
Alain de Botton.
Films: Forrest Gump, Atonement, Etre et Avoir, Defiance, Moonrise
Kingdom, Brassed Off, Pride (if you haven't seen this, watch it
ASAP. I cried laughing).
TV: I'll admit it... Strictly, Bake Off, Downton. They are just too
good! I'll go one step further and say period dramas full stop.
Mostly because I wish we still lived in a world where people wore
Music: Air Traffic, Two Door Cinema Club, The Pierces, Buddy Holly,
Lana del Rey, Lissie, Broken Bells, Florence + The Machine, Tracy
Chapman, Mystery Jets, The Hush Sound, Beirut, Paolo Nutini, Keston
Cobblers Club, Laura Marling, The Strokes, Ed Sheeran
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Cups of tea (chat without tea is bad chat)
My Dad (who else will talk me through how to do DIY on the phone
when my flat breaks?)
Walking boots (to go for a wander)
Books (so I'm never bored waiting)
Pots and pans (to cook up a storm)
Friends (especially when they make me tea)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be a better human being, a potential career change, my dream
kitchen, organising a hen party, what to read next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Unusually, Friday is usually the night in the week that I'm at home
having been out for most of the others. That means cooking a meal,
catching up with something on iPlayer and making weekend plans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm ridiculously superstitious about magpies and even salute them
when I see them... usually pretending to brush my hair out of my
eye to hide it!
