My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
QUICK NOTE: I’ve written a lot here, so I’ll bottom line it for you. If you’re looking for a woman who is real, solid, confident, affectionate, independent, and ready for a friendship that leads to a meaningful, committed relationship… then read on. If you’re tired of the online silliness and drama, you love people, have a positive outlook, and you’re a good man who’s comfortable with himself and looking for a connection with an equal partner… then read on. I’m a woman of character, heart and substance. If that’s what you’re interested in, I gladly welcome your hello. Otherwise, I truly wish for you whatever it is you are looking for. Be well.

I’m a playful sort, curious and game for most any adventure. I’m outgoing and very comfortable with myself and others. I find the older I get the more interested I am in meaningful conversation. I have a knack for creating community; for fun, for learning, for connection. You come to a point where you realize relationships are simply at the core of everything.

I bought my home in Maynard in mid August 2014, as my desire to be closer to nature was strong. And while I loved living in the Waltham/Newton/Watertown area (nearer to Boston) for 16 years or so, I enjoy walking out my front door and being only steps away from conservation land… though still close enough to enjoy Boston and all it has to offer.

After a 28+ year career in IT, from developer to manager, I jumped in 2010… and reinvented myself. Best thing I ever did on so many levels! Now I work for myself helping others figure out what they want for their own lives, what could be fulfilling personally and professionally… and then I work with them around making it happen. And I do leadership and team development. I love my work… it’s so very rewarding.

I walk at least an hour each day in nature as part of a meditative morning practice. I find it really grounds me and sets a spacious tone for my day. There’s a real sweetness about it. I’ve been reviving my yoga practice as well… I missed my old friend.

My happy, compassionate daughter brings me the most joy. She is confidently making her way in this world, and amazes me regularly with her intelligence and outlook on life. She makes me so very proud.

I have lots of family in Hungary; my father was born there. And I have friends across the US and all over the world… South Africa, India, France, Canada, Netherlands, England. I’m so grateful to have been involved with a couple programs over the past several years that have introduced me to these lovely people. My intention is to work less and to travel more in the coming years. I’ve only traveled to Canada, Hungary and Kenya so far… and there’s a lot more on my list!

My interests are varied... movies, museums, theatre, dining out, music of all sorts, concerts, comedy, hiking, yoga, exploring new areas, taking classes... life-long learner here! It would be great to share these and your interests as well.

I’m interested in meeting a man of integrity who is happy with himself and his life. How fun would it be to come together as two self-aware, open-minded individuals, who trust their intuition, and are open and emotionally available to connect when the right partner comes along? Conversation, seeing and appreciating each other, contemplating the wisdom and poignancy of life, unrushed and easy… playful, adventurous, romantic and real. I’d like to feel that irresistible pull again, that undeniable attraction and connection that grows out of great friendship… best friends and lovers. I believe that’s possible. Do you?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I guess simplifying would be one word. Focusing on what's important... relationships, helping others, being adventurous, curious, playful. I'm never not trying to grow, it's just in my DNA, a life-long learner about anything that catches my interest. And I'm working to get back into shape... naturally athletic and strong, and working towards that level of fitness that feels like home again (yoga, walking). I would love to find a partner in the journey, someone who loves being active as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being positive. Making people feel heard and understood, seeing the most in them and holding them grander than they see themselves. I have that eldest-child way of effortlessly taking a leadership role when needed, remaining clear and calm when things seem out of control, and being creative in finding solutions and new perspectives.
The first things people usually notice about me

My friendly, easy way. I'm very curious, casual and comfortable with all types of people. I'm passionate about things that matter to me and you'll recognize that sparkle in my eye when we're talking about those things. That I look and seem younger than my age.

Eclectic music taste (rock, pop, classical, new age, country, world), all kinds of foods (not too spicy), NPR (This American Life/Ted Radio Hour/Radio Lab/Moth Radio Hour), a good drama and I’m a sucker for a love story, books on personal/professional growth (for my work), red wine, dry champagne, chocolate, avocado, mango, Dunkins.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Stimulating conversation
Friends that know you from the inside out
My daughter
Meaningful work
Being active

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
... how to find more ways to be grateful and to give back, pay it forward, make a difference. to continue to simplify my life and make meaningful choices.
...someday having grandchildren... looking forward to that time of my life.
...client offerings I want to create. next trip and where it might be. we all have some responsibility around how things are today, locally, nationally, internationally. easy it is to assume things and how letting those assumptions go can open up amazing possibilities.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting together with friends for conversation, dinner, drinks; watching a movie, reading, spending time with my daughter, catching up at home from the week. There is no typical...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

In person, I'm an open book... here... hmmm, let's see... how about this... I believe I have magical manifesting powers. :o)
