I am artistic, fun-loving, and empathic.
My Self-Summary
I am a mother of three grown children. Empty nest. I am a self
employed artist and love what I do. I produce my work to sell, and
teach kids in inner city schools in Philly, adult enrichment
classes, college, senior citizens, and am a residency artist in PA
and NJ. I am so fortunate to do what I love for a living, though I
have to be OK with relative poverty!
I am very feminine, curvy but muscular. I am a bit of a tomboy in
that I don't mind getting dirty and sweaty, own power tools and am
not afraid to use them. I love growing my own food, cooking and
eating outdoors, hiking, camping, canoeing, just touching nature
any way I can. The earth recharges my battery. Though dining out
and a nice 5 star hotel works fine, too.
I enjoy live arts: blues, folk, bluegrass, roots music, classical,
and the theater and live comedy.
I believe spirituality is how you live your life and what you
think. Not what church you belong to. We are all one family of
earthlings. I have no time for racial and religious
divisions.
Humor is an absolute must for me in a relationship. It is an
aphrodisiac. A witty, intelligent sense of humor in a man is such a
turn on. Don't try to be funny. No clowns wanted. Be yourself, and
make me laugh and I'm all over you!
What I’m doing with my life
The kids are grown, I am doing what I always wanted to do for work,
and now I have time to focus on evolving. I am in the process of
figuring out ways to better my career...and wondering if the
economy can support it. I also have more time to play. I just need
to find someone who has the same interests as me, and can inspire
me to find more interests. Playmate wanted.
I’m really good at
I am a great cook. Wouldn't mind finding a man who also loves to
cook.
I teach my craft (pottery), because I like to spread the love. Clay
is so approachable, and everyone needs to feel their creative
potential, which I have been told I am good at inspiring in people.
It is what I have to give to the world, and I love doing it.
The first things people usually notice about me
People usually comment on my smile, which I am free with.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I have a very eclectic taste in books, so it is hard to say what I
find to be my favorites. Coyote Blue, an absolutely zany book is
one I have often passed on to people who need to laugh.
I will go see anything at the theater, independent films are
treasures.
Blues and folk music are my favorites, but I also like live jazz,
bluegrass, roots music, classical, and have been to many a rock
concert in my day. Long, long ago.
I enjoy all foods, and do lots of experimenting with ethnic foods
and veggie dishes with whole grains when I'm cooking. The body's a
temple and all that.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter, my children, , gratitude, access to nature, my sight
(though I guess I would have to, huh?), the freedoms we enjoy in
this country
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What direction I'm going in for the second half of my life. Is this
on line dating thing worth the effort.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical, or what I'd rather be doing? I actually prefer to chill on
Friday nights. An early meal with a friend or my kids, or rent a
movie, pour some wine, with or without company. The rest of the
weekend I have more energy for socializing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
What, are you kidding?
You should message me if
...you like to laugh, feel soulfully connected, and if you value
trust most in an intimate relationship. If you are left of center
politically, live lightly on the planet, and enjoy the outdoors. No
smokers or those "trying to quit". No heavy drinkers or drug users,
republicans or religious extremists.
