The worst is when you are talking to someone and you notice that they are making eye contact and you look away and you know that person knows you are avoiding eye contact, but everytime you make eye contact now it seems unnatural and everything gets awkward and you lose your train of thought because you are thinking about making eye contact.

I do a variety of things. I do holistic health / natural health stuff, I write and I'm in the process of putting together a book on Saskatchewan, I farm, I craft, and I'm taking a current interest in sustainability, since I just purchased land to start an intentional community / eco-village on.

books: I'm obsessed with memiors. I just finished one on being a hutterite and another on leaving a polygamous sect.

movies: anything a bit obscure and about cross dressing. Vincent Gallo & Todd Solondz are on top of the list.

music: yo la tengo, the smiths, born ruffians, sigur ros, neil young, jenn grant, tori amos, cat power, julie sokolow, sleater kinney, basia balut, ohbijou, woodhands, julie doiron, crystal castles, badly drawn boy, modest mouse, emily jane white, the list could go on forever.

food: A combination of vegetarianism, veganism, celiac, organic, raw foods, and food that I grew from my garden, even though the carrots were only two cm long.

sometimes I think about going outside without any clothes on and lighting my house on fire and burning everything I own just like the Dukabors did. Just to prove that we can live without anything.
