Travel, skiing, and water sports are my favorite pastimes, but I only get to enjoy them once a year if I'm lucky, so the rest of the time it's reading, friends, and checking out what DC has to offer. I have an internationally-oriented lifestyle. I'm usually direct, empathetic, and caring, logical rather than emotional (though I have some of the typical chutzpah of Southern Europe), and always appreciative of good humor and (any) jokes! I think I might be a little bit of a nerd, too, but I've found that yummy food, good wine, and a party attitude can go a long way towards remedying that :))

Mostly spending it with friends, traveling for fun (used to be for work, hence the clarification), and enjoying what DC has to offer!

Hosting a party! Hearing a friend out. Going for an outdoors adventure. Following up on annoying details like bills and such (well, what can I do, came with the territory....). Finance (and a good thing, too, since that's where the dough comes from).

Not sure. The gap in my teeth?! LoL

Really excited about Alexander McCall Smith, can't get enough of him. Cordwainer Smith is amazing. Ahmed Rashid for non-fiction is good if one cares about South Asia / Middle East. I recently discovered John Kennedy Toole (yes, I know, but better late than never). Book I'm reading now - Verre Casse by Mabanckou. Movies - there are too many to list (Audrey Hepburn is always good), but a couple of recent ones I liked were Chico and Rita, and the Avengers. Music - if alone I'll listen to 70s rock mostly, though I'd listen to anything, I love music. Stand-up comedy is a must, and I try to get so the Kennedy center once in a while just so as to say Im taking advantage of DC. Food - anything goes as long as it's a place with atmosphere, but I do have a few holes-in-the-wall I'm seriously addicted to.

hmmm... earlier this year I managed for a week (in fact, two) without an Iphone. Who's to say what I'm capable of next! :)

But, really: my friends and laughter.

The meaningful things I could do with my life from here on out. And recently I spent some not inconsiderable time thinking where and how to position the outdoor pumpkins for Halloween :))

Out with friends, though occasionally I'd curl up on the couch and take it easy.

My tomato plant was a failure... What? Half of DC is probably on this site!
