I walk the road less traveled, consistently challenging myself and
those close to me, and I'm not willing to settle and am looking for
my complementary half. A musician by trade, I also own my own
business and have an engineering background. My passion is doing
what I love and I'm lucky to feel like I've never worked a day in
my life. In my college years, I spent a good amount of time
performing in Russia, Israel, Italy and playing on the streets on
my days off. I've always loved meeting locals in different cultures
and I've learned that music is a universal language. I was born in
Taiwan but came to the US as a child and grew up on the west coast
in rainy Seattle. Still love the feel of that city minus all the
rain...
My life is always diverse and fluid as I like to multi-task and tend to have many projects going on at once, but I'm at my best when I can keep everything balanced. I have a soft spot for people and I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt more often than not. I love animals and children and they love me, but I never felt the need to have mini-me's running around the house. Although if I met the right person, I can be persuaded but I've always thought of adopting if I ever wanted children.
I love exploring new places in Chicago and I love a good IPA on tap from Hopleaf, going to dim sum in Chinatown, going to the Art Institute, listening to bands and different genres of music. Yes, I am a sports fan though I am not one of those guys that needs to watch every game and keep track of every player. I think fantasy leagues are utterly silly. I've been working out regularly for the better part of 15 years and I've been playing baseball the last two just to keep me on my toes. I do like to play volleyball and tennis when the weather is nice and I like to be around people who are physically active and can push me to do more.
I'm looking for someone who is a free soul, has a kind heart, has good taste, and appreciates the simple things in life as well as the finer things. Life is full of surprises and things happen when you least expect it.
