I grew up in Texas, but have lived in various places across the
country....Seattle, Atlanta, etc. I had to move around for the
career for most of my 20s, but have now gotten to a place where I
can choose where I want to be. I lived in lower Manhattan for the
last 8 years, and still have a place there....thus the username....
But, I've chosen to return home to Houston and have a little more
normal daily existence.
What I’m doing with my life
My life is pretty full. I have a good group of friends and the job
I always wanted. I work in media and it provides me a lot of
interesting opportunities. So, I'm never bored, and always have
stories to tell. I'm looking for someone who is up for some
adventures and to listen to a few of those stories. A partner in
crime, if you will.......Bonus if she has some stories of her own,
and can introduce new adventure ideas. I'd like to find someone
that can be equally comfortable hanging out in a dive bar, as well
as getting dressed up for an event. And, sometimes, maybe doing
nothing much at all except staying in and avoiding the cold.
I’m really good at
Talking...It's really my only great life skill. To do that, you
also have to be a good listener, so I guess I'm good at that, too.
But, I can also make a mean grilled cheese, and other basic food
items. I love road trips, and have been praised for my ability to
plan them just enough. I am also a human Pandora, and can gladly
suggest music and bore you with factoids about most any musician or

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't sit to watch too many movies, but Big Lebowski and Garden
State are faves. I think John Hughes movies brilliantly shaped most
kids of the 80s childhoods, and, I have a weird connection to the
Shows: I like a bunch, but two that come immediately to mind are
The Daily Show and Boardwalk Empire. When I want to do nothing, I
sit and watch American Pickers with a bag of chips. Also, I felt
like I lost a friend when Breaking Bad ended....is that
Foodwise, I'm a bbq snob. But, have a host of favorite restaurants
around the city. I've drawn up what amounts to flowcharts on the
best Pizza in town, and can always be convinced to go to the
I could write forever about music.... But, The Replacements are
amazing, and I believe Dave Grohl can do no wrong. I always love a
good punk song. I know hip hop surprisingly well, and have a deep
well of knowledge about blues. I'll argue forever that the 80s
decade was the best for music. I like Dylan, and a bunch of little
known bands from the 90s....Really, almost anything is good with
me. My music geekery knows no bounds.
My book choices are probably cliche'...On the Road, The Little
Prince, Confederacy of Dunces, and almost everything by Chuck
Klosterman. I like Hunter S. Thompson, and have to read a lot of
biographies and such for work....

I go out to a lot of concerts and such....so, a nice restaurant

though, I'd rather just hang out at home and let the phone
Some Fridays are spent driving to another locale when the need for
a change of scenery arises.
Lots of options...I'm usually up for anything.
I don't like the idea of "Typical Fridays".
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really hate crumpled tissues...It's my biggest pet peeve...
You should message me if
You don't take yourself too seriously, and want to have fun....And
most importantly, you like the idea of having someone to laugh at
the daily ups and downs of life with.
