My self-summary
If a tree falls in a forest, will Donald Trump be there to call it a loser?

Hello! I'm Dante. I've been in Baltimore for a year, but finally settling in. South Carolina -> North Carolina -> Maryland.
What I’m doing with my life
I just began a position as a community organizer for a nonprofit based in the Mid-Atlantic. I'll be gathering strength behind ending the life of the incinerator in Westport (south Baltimore) - a much needed goal in the environmental justice movement.

I also am a survivor advocate, and volunteer at the local rape crisis center. In April I was on a panel discussing the Black Lives Matter movement as it relates to the sexual assault of black women.

Avoiding it like the plague for four years, I finally began grad school last September. I'm pursuing a Masters in Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Baltimore.

And placing my political career on hiatus.
I’m really good at
not being able to whisper.

being a goof. It's kind of funny how serious I want to be career-wise.

Games of the board and card persuasion. (Where are my boardgame lovers?!?)

Contradancing. I've been dancing for ten years, and I've the knees to show for it.

Ping pong.
The first things people usually notice about me
is that I actually am a wacky, waving, inflatable, arm-flailing tube man.

The six things I could never do without
My mom.
Yogurt raisins.
The New England Patriots - Super Bowl Champs, baby!!!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
social justice, why so many people still vote for Republicans, why it's so damn hard to make friends, my next band's name.
On a typical Friday night I am
trying to figure out what to do. Creating relationships is paramount, especially since I'm in the big city!
You should message me if
I can stand in solidarity with you, and hold your hand concurrently.

I'm rather jaded by tradition - that is, men making the first move. It's beyond exhausting, and baffles me why we as a generation perpetuate it. So, if I sound potentially interesting, don't hesitate to send a "hi" or more. ^_^
