I'm full of energy, bright, curious, outgoing, funny, artistic, passionate about the world around me. A student of politics, the popular culture and how we all relate to one another. A couple of strong cups of coffee and the New York Times are the perfect start to the day for me. Addicted to the crossword puzzle, which I generally finish every day - even those difficult Friday & Saturday puzzles. I work hard running my marketing research & consulting business, but always try to find time for a workout at the gym or a yoga class.

My favorite pastime these days is playing with my band (guitar/vocals), having a blast covering classic and inide rock songs and playing the occasional gig around town.

No longer into cheap thrills or empty relationships, divorced for several years now, a sane, functional, mutually supportive connection would work wonders for my already full and happy life.

Too much to list here! I have eclectic tastes in music ranging from rock to opera. The Beatles, The Kinks, The Byrds, Nick Lowe, The Stones, Elvis Costello are all favorites. I'm a big fan of quirky, highly intelligent singer/songwriters with a great sense of humor like Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Randy Newman, Jonathan Richman and the great Harry Nilsson.

I'm always reading a book, novels, non-fiction, biographies, history. Just read, finally, The Brothers Karamazov which was amazing, but like contemporary authors including Michael Chambon, Tom Perrota, Don DeLillo, TC Boyle and others.

Hardly a week goes by without seeing a film or two, old stuff on TV, blockbusters and indies.

There are a lot of TV shows I like, guilty pleasures like The Mentalist and more substantive shows like Mad Men. I wish Flight of the Concordes had never been cancelled.

Admit something private here? Forget it. You'll have to wine and dine me and send me flowers first.

Intelligence and an open mind are the great turn ons. Yet while
conceding that beauty does in fact lie within, it will require a
strong physical reaction to get me to that point. I admire strong,
independent women with eclectic interests, but not to the point of
being narcissistic or controlling.

Looking for the perfect intersection of challenge and comfort.
Challenge needs to come in the form of high standards, great
aspirations, an adventurous spirit and most importantly, a lively,
piercing intelligence. Comfort defined by a truly intimate
relationship characterized by ease, trust and understanding.
