I'm originally from Florida (the better, more southern, gulf coast side), but went to college in the Midwest and am now out here for grad school. I generally like to take on things with a laid back attitude, and am interested in dating someone who feels the same way.

My life lately has been a nice balance of music and science. I've picked up some new hobbies recently like baking, woodworking, and learning to play the guitar. I'm also a huge baseball fan especially the Rays or the Cardinals.

Music: it's pretty much my life and I spend a lot of time exploring new stuff. I don't have a favorite genre necessarily, but last.fm says my all time favorites are DMB, Sufjan Stevens, John Mayer, Chiddy Bang, Vampire Weekend and Passion Pit.

Shows: How I Met Your Mother is at the top of my list, but I've been into West Wing, Happy Endings, Game of Thrones, Shameless, Parks and Rec, and Community lately.

Books: Trying to get into this reading thing now that I finally have some freetime. Just read my first Steinbeck and now I'm tackling some Fey
