My self-summary
This is in need of updating, if there's anything that sticks out as weird, feel free to ask! Without further ado:

If you're looking for a stimulating conversation partner(what an odd term), look no further. May take me a bit to get into my groove, but pretty soon you'll be wondering where all that time went. And hopefully, you won't be asking for it back.

By law, I am required to tell you that my photos, are in fact, a total Myspace angle. Still though? I don't look bad. Yes, that's the most ringing endorsement I can give myself: "I don't look bad." Still, that puts me ahead of a lot of people who do, in fact, look bad.

Some other things about me? Well, I love to travel. I love going to places I've never been, and eating food I've never had before. I drink socially, never really been a bar person though. That could totally change with the right scene, Lima bars are kinda... all over the place.

What else to say? I dunno. I'm a rather interesting person, but I have a hard time putting it into writing. I think it's because I prefer that there not be evidence. Ho ho, funny.

So like, I guess what I can say about myself is that I'm pretty chill. I can adapt to a variety of people and situations, but I will admit I'm very shy around "popular" people. I really didn't fit that scene when I was in school, and it's just kind of a phobia of mine.

I'm pretty easy to please, as far as hanging out goes. Watch a movie, walk around a store and chat, have some drinks, doesn't matter to me. Or Taco Bell. Taco Bell sounds terrific.

So in summary: I like Taco Bell.
What I’m doing with my life
For the most part, working. Not to say I don't have any free time, but yeah, mostly working.

I, hilariously, work at a grocery store. But it's slightly less hilarious now because I'm actually a department head, or maybe more hilarious because I've decided to make a career out of a grocery store. Either way, my next stop is management, and then upwards from there.
I’m really good at
Being a storyteller! I have tons of useless stories that are usually funny enough to elicit a chuckle, if not a chortle, or a guffaw.

I'm also a technology buff, but I'm pretty lazy about it, so I don't keep up as well as I should. I guess "knowing about phones and video games" doesn't qualify as something you're good at. So uh, I have a great sense of smell?
The first things people usually notice about me
This is a hard question for me, since I can't read minds, but I would assume it's my sense of observational humor. I'm always making fun of something for some reason, it's kinda my thing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: This section deserves an update! I got a nook color, and oddly enough that's what it took to get me to read again. I'm pretty much into classic sci-fi(War of the Worlds, The Time Machine), horror novels(Hell House, It, Shadow Over Innsmouth), some humor(John Dies at the End). Basically I'm still trying to find what I like, but I've made significant progress on this field. :)

Movies: A lot of bad ones. I like Terminator(1 and 2), Robocop(1 and 2), Alien(1 and 2, technically??), Iron Man(1 and 2! The trend continues!), Wall-E, Catch Me If You Can, Evil Dead, Purple Rain(oh hell yes), 28 Days Later(Weeks was not very good), and some others I'm sure, but as you'll soon learn I am very forgetful! (Nearly 3 years later) Oh hey, I remembered! I like awful movies too! Space Mutiny, Pumaman, Laserblast, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Reefer Madness, The Room. And the best of all, the Star Wars Holiday Special. Oh hell yes. Basically if it was on MST3K, I probably love it.

TV: I can finally sorta add a TV section. I like the various non-alien specials on the History Channel, The Men Who Made America was really good, for example. I'm somewhat monogamous when it comes to new TV shows though, I can really only focus on one at a time, even if they're not on at the same time. My current fixation is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which is amazing. Other than that, I watch a lot of garbage TV, like Pawn Stars, Chopped, Gangland, Tosh.0, Restaurant: Impossible. If you don't like these shows, don't worry, odds are I don't either, I just can't stop watching. Except tosh, tosh is amazing, but I fully admit what it is. Also, distinctly separate from the garbage TV category is Top Gear, which is the funniest show about cars ever made. A narrow category, yes, but still a victory in my eyes.

UPDATE: I've finally started watching a few critically acclaimed shows! Breaking Bad and The Wire are both amazing. I also just finished True Detective, which was also great.

Music(prefered bands in all caps): Andrew Bird, Aqualung, The Audition, Beck, The Black Keys, Black Milk, THE BRAVERY, Broken Social Scene, Drake, Elliott Smith, The Flaming Lips, THE FORMAT, Gin Blossoms, GOLD MOTEL, Goo Goo Dolls, THE HELIO SEQUENCE, THE HOOD INTERNET, Jay Sean, Kid Cudi, Lil' Wayne, The Matches, MINUS THE BEAR, Morningwood, Motion City Soundtrack, My Morning Jacket, THE NEW PORNOGRAPHERS, Office, Panic! At The Disco, Pendulum, Phantom Planet, Queens of the Stone Age, Snow Patrol, Spoon, STARS, Timbaland, We Are Scientists, and probably a lot more, but it took FOREVER to bracket all that shit, so hell no.

Food: I like just about anything, but Indian food is my favorite. Oh, and I love almond milk. It's also worth mentioning that I'm a vegetarian, but that doesn't mean I won't take you to a steakhouse if you really want, I'll just fill up on sides. :)
The six things I could never do without
Oxygen, sunlight, water, food, internet and a mode of transportation. Ideally.

If I'm allowed to assume that the first four are gratis, I would say: Internet, transportation, my sense of humor(I'd go insane otherwise), a GPS for all the road trips I take, my few friends and the pursuit of knowledge. Stupid answer yes, but I would be miserable if I didn't spend almost all of my free time trying to learn new things. It keeps me relevant.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I seriously managed to press "Save" on each and every one of these profile fields without any second thoughts. Oh my god.

Something more serious? Okay. Well, I do spend a lot of time thinking about how up until now, my life has basically been one huge chain of regrets. And honestly, that's no way to live. So I guess to summarize, I've been thinking of how much time we all waste on our regrets. So from now on? Fuck it. The only thing I regret is not regretting all of my previous regrets sooner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working. Friday means nothing when you have a job in a grocery store. Chalk that one up to my answer to what I'm doing with my life.

Now, on a typical SATURDAY night, I... Oh yeah, that's right, I'm working.

I should probably give a less dodgy answer to this. On my days off, I typically just hang out with friends. We do all sorts of things. Watch bad movies, bake bad cookies, drink bad smoothies. So the last one isn't true, I make awesome smoothies, but the rest is.

On very rare occasions, I will go out to the bar with some friends and chill. Like, every 3-4 months or so. Yeah, my job keeps me busy.

I'm always up for crazy adventures or misadventures of almost any kind, as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm probably a bit too sensitive. I'm very sentimental and I do let my emotions get the best of me sometimes. I'm not a "pussy", but I do get very impassioned sometimes.

Oh yeah, and I'm ridiculously contrarian at times. I don't really mean to, I just hate things that are unquestionably loved by millions. Yeah, I don't get it either. It's a tad embarrassing, either way.

Wow, I have a lot of things I'm "willing" to admit. Here's another! I have a ridiculously huge soft spot for animals. Not just dogs and cats, I find the following animals to be utterly adorable: Walruses, hippos, kiwis, raccoons, frogs, penguins, otters, turtles and kangaroo rats. Probably tons more, too. <3
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys

You should message me if
You really have nothing better to do!

Or if you've taken sympathy on me and want to help me on that whole "having close, dependable friends" issue.

Bonus points if you're a Verizon customer so I can text you endlessly.

Extra bonus points if you have a dark, self-deprecating sense of humor. Totally not enough people like that in my life.
