Like everyone else I'm here to make friends and hopefully find
someone to share life and love with...
It has taken a lot of effort and time and training but I am happy
to say I have a day job that pays quite well. It is something I
could be happy with as a career, but ultimately it is not where my
heart lays.
Which is why I am also pursuing a career in some way shape or form
with
musical entertainment and
am currently exploring my opportunities.
Eating, breathing, sleeping, walking (I'm so super good at that
one), saving money, spending money...
Ok, seriously, I am mechanically inclined and have had quite a bit
of general experience with a lot of things of that nature.
I've been playing
drums for about 14 years, and I'm told I'm
rather good.
I used to write prose/poetry and draw but after losing one of my
most meaningful books it has been hard to find the motivation...
did b&w photo for a while too, in an actual darkroom, but
that's another one tossed to the wayside. I still have most of my
prints and negatives. I miss creative photography...
Hmm... really don't know... LOL physically? My bottomless eyes,
maybe? My short stature? A lot of people think I am of Asian
descent (though I am not). You tell me...
Talk to me a little bit and you'll likely notice I'm not the
dullest bulb in the knife drawer (I know, why is there a bulb in
the knife drawer?), and maybe that I'm rather genuine?
The LAST thing people notice about me (depending) is that I
actually have long hair. The top comes down to the middle of my
shoulder blades and the sides are cut short. I like having long
hair (for now) and keep it under a hat for appearance and safety
reasons at work. After a while hats just kinda wore on me. I've
worked with people over a year that never even knew.
Books: The DL series by Weiss and Hickman were handsdown my
favorite read ever. Dean Koontz when I was younger but haven't read
his stuff in a few years, or anything else for that matter.
Movies: Any
epic/grandiose fantasy tale will win me. LotR, Pirates of the
Caribbean, Matrix, Riddick, Harry Potter, Twilight (so far) and the
Ocean's 11 series. I also like the 5th Element, Repo: The Genetic
Opera, Amelie (for real), and so many more. Most all of the 80's or
90's classics; any genre. Oh, and fair warning, I sing to a few
Disney films... the whole way through... and I'm not half bad...
hahaha
Music: Live is still
one of my top though I haven't liked their recent work as much. The
Cure, Coheed and Cambria, Deftones, Eminem, Ne-yo, Staind, SoaD,
lots and lots more. I like some "weirder" stuff as well; Bjork,
Dead can Dance, Portishead and the like. Not so much into HEAVY
Metal though I'll play and listen to it. Smooth Jazz, Classical,
anything really but still can't do country for some reason.
Food: I LOVE FOOD!!!
You wouldn't tell by how skinny I am, but I have a decently
eclectic palate and a high culinary appreciation LOL. You will find
me at a local
vietnamese restaurant at least twice
a week. Can't get enough of their soup... damn. Sushi is well
adored but after having it in
Japan it just isn't the same over here. I
can cook decently even when experimenting and it's always fun
trying to cook something new, though I don't often take the time.
Lasagna and variations of curry are a specialty of mine. I also
spent six years as a
vegetarian and I think that was the
most fun I've ever had cooking, though it was REALLY hard work...
WOW... um...
Pho
hahaha (bonus points for knowing what that is), car, cell phone,
sound system(s) (gotta have a full range), drums, and... omg how
could I forget
COFFEE!!!
I am far from materialistic, so this part shouldn't really count
but these are the things that are staples in my life.
everything... damned overactive brain...
out to eat, drumming, watching movies at home, or cleaning LOL.
Could be out with you, but you haven't messaged me yet!
I sleep bare at times (much to the dismay of my roommates and many
comments about scorched earth) hahaha I'll leave the rest up to
conversational progress... I'm not really private or ashamed but
it's a little more fun to hear what someone is curious about. :)
You think we'd at least make decent friends.
