My self-summary Propose an edit
I have a deep passion for the environment and being outdoors. I love hiking, kayaking, fly fishing, working out, and
playing sports, mostly softball now, but I used to play lots of
basketball, rugby and football. I'm easy-going, painfully honest
and love laughing (of which I have a very sarcastic sense of
humor).
I have many simple pleasures in life and tend to think too much.
I'm overly considerate of others, which sometimes is to my
detriment.
I'm very tolerant of others and not easily offended, but will let
you know if you piss me off : )
More to come...
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Currently, I'm a museum educator and part-time teacher/naturalist.
Before my current career I was an avian rehabilitator for three
years (if you don't know what that is, just ask)...and before that
I joined AmeriCorps right out of college (kind of like the domestic
Peace Corps)for a one-year term.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
That I look young for my age. I don't wear make-up and I usually
have my hair in a ponytail, so I look much younger then I actually
am. It gets really annoying sometimes, but I'll love it when I'm
40.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
I love children's books and have a decent collection. I mainly
collect environment-related books to use for education. I enjoy
reading historical fiction, non-fiction pertaining to the
outdoors...The Tracker by Tom Brown, Bill Bryson, Rachel Carson,
etc. One of my favorite books of all time is The Old Man and the
Sea by Hemingway...I love the passion, monologue and tragic
outcome.
I love movies...going to the movies...watching a dvd...all of it.
Some favorites are Princess Bride, The Crow, Full Metal Jacket,
Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, any Vin Diesel movie
(including The Pacifier), Little Mermaid...the list goes on and
on.
I love music...(are you noticed a trend)...pretty much all of it,
except jazz for personal reasons. Some artists I particularly like
are Fun Loving Criminals, They Might Be Giants, Jack Johnson, Dixie
Chicks...I also really like soundtracks to movies and broadway
shows.
I love food...I'm not much of a meat eater, but I do enjoy a nice,
big, juicy cheeseburger every once in a while with a pint (or two)
of Guinness. I could eat nachos, grilled cheese, salad, veggies and
ranch dip, soup, pizza and crab legs just about every day (not all
of it in one day though).

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
The environment and how everything is interdependent with each
other. What my next career will be. If a tree falls and no one is
around to hear it, does it make a sound? Was the ivory-billed
wooodpecker actually spotted? What is my cat really thinking?
Evolution. Where my next big trip will be.
