My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I live my life like a grand adventure, keeping one foot in the past and one in the future. New experiences drive me to challenge myself, to gain new skills, to make new friends and to trade temporary discomfort for long-term satisfaction. I have infinite patience, like a blind snake catching a bat. I'm blunt and direct when I'm not being poetic or sarcastic. I have high standards for myself and my friends. Wasting time is a tragedy to be avoided. I'm a busy man and that leaves precious little time to get to know new lady friends, which brings me here.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am an artist and avid learner above all else. Every day holds a revelation which I savor. I feel like a king these days, acquiring skills and knowledge which were once reserved for the elite of the world. I recently moved to Lafayette and have been having a blast out here. This last summer I worked outside in a scrapyard cutting metal with fire - so I thought this winter it would be an awesome challenge to bare the cold as well and I decided to go car-less all winter long. I can't wait for the snow!

When it comes to reading, I normally read books of information. My imagination is so vivid that most fiction books pale in comparison to the stories I create for myself and honestly, real life is so much more raw and palpable than a contrived, scripted dialogue.

Essays & poems in Old English

Star Wars, LOTR, Jurassic Park, Marvel Comic movies, Dewy Cox, Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, Anchorman, Documentaries, Dumbo, Mel Brooks movies, Wayne's World, Gran Torino, all kinds of musical movies,

How the Earth Was Made, Chappelle's Show, The Osbournes, Weeds, Captain N, Family Guy, South Park, G. I. Joe, Homicide, Power Rangers, Reboot, Saved by the Bell, Spider-Man, Ninja Turtles, Xena (many of these are childhood favorite's I'll still enjoy for nostalgia's sake).

Lol... couldn't even try to explain. I like Black Metal, Musicals, Rap, Disco, Pop, Death Metal, Folk, Rock and so much more. But I cannot stand bands with bad vocalists who have nothing with substance to say. That includes most alternative and punk. I like music history and the evolution of heaviness in music. My favorite heavy song is called Ways to the Grave by Bloodbath. My favorite musical is Jesus Christ Superstar. What I like the most is a really exceptional hook, a tremendous voice soaked in personality, profound words or an instant inspiration to move.

I love the standards. Cooking is like writing a song, you need a good hook with a solid foundation. Vegetables are important but meat makes my world go round. I was a vegetarian for a minute to see if I could rough it but it didn't satisfy my needs.

You want to meet in a safe place like a coffee shop or Home Depot so I can figure out if you're crazy or not. We might spend 15 minutes together before I'm sure, then we can go for a walk. If we lose track of time, we should probably kiss. If we don't, it was good meeting you!

But seriously, try not to be a crazy cat lady.
