half-clumsy, critical thinking, and a "Ginger Kid"
My self-summary Propose an edit
I don't think there is one true summary that describes me because I
think that it would be too long to fit in this blank spot.
I guess you could say I'm one of those females where you can't
always predict unless you get to know me pretty well. I'll seem
pretty predictable by first glance, but eventually I pull a
surprise on people, which is not always intentional.
I'm a talker. Maybe not at first, but I will talk my ear off if you
get me on a good subject. That's why I do well with other
linguists/conversationalists, because they balance out the stories
and make me ask questions about them.
I love music and have a wide variety of tastes. Although, I am
picky about songs sometimes because it doesn't "fit the mood", or
just certain songs turn me off which is kind of weird and sounds so
contradicting. I love going online, but I try not to do it often
because it's WAY too addicting and it keeps me on for hours, which
is really bad for my butt because it needs more of a work out than
that.
I have long hair and blue-green eyes. I love camping, baking/cooking, dog parks, the beach when
it's empty, nature,
exploring,
walking, hiking,
downtown LA (but only for walking, NOT driving!), dry heat, humid
cold, sounds of the rain on pavement, standing out in the rain for a long time, very
foggy days/nights, movies, window shopping without spending
any money (no credit, cash, check, nada), snow, driving, etc... There's more, I'll get
to you later about it if you e-mail me.
As much as I may be in love with nature, I'm more indoorsy, despite
those above things I like. My skin is super fair, & I'm not
always crazy about slapping greasy globs of skin protectant on my
face just for it to melt off & cause acne. If I had more
melanin in my skin, I'd definately be outside more often.
I usually just prefer to look at people's profiles and e-mails
before I get to "talk" to them. Makes conversation much easier,
generally. I don't like the way the IM system is set up on this
site that much. Too many glitches & interference with
reading.
If you're really bored and want to add me to your myspace (lol) my
link is www.myspace.com/hiddennetwork . Just make sure you leave a
message saying who you are & what your sn is here on this site.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Working the Noc (graveyard) shift as a Certified Nurse Assistant
(CNA) at Town & Country Manor Skilled Nursing Facility. Do NOT
call me a nurse. I am an ASSISTANT! It's ILLEGAL to call someone
who's not licenced to be a nurse... well, a nurse.
I've changed my ideas of getting a career in Nursing simple because
I'm starting to get the grasp that the stress involved may not be
worth the knowledge or the money. I've come to realize certain
personal qualities that probably would make it harder for me, &
thus I probably would not be happy enough even if I followed
through.
So I'm on a search for careers that would fit my personality enough
& have enough tolerable flaws to my daily life enough to make
the job worth it. I'm still making a list of assets &
weaknesses & deciding what weaknesses I can change more easily
than others, & organizing things on my values & what I
enjoy. It's a true pursuit of happiness.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
making pancakes, tying my shoes, UNtying knots, sewing buttons back
on clothing, picking the dirt out from under my fingernails without
the picker you're supposed to use, analyzing certain things,
remembering obscure things, planning (but not always following
through), making puns and smartalic remarks, measuring, giving long
back massages (although I haven't done it enough for a long time,
not nearly as much as I used to), giving a different perspective
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
My hair. I get way too many comments on it, but in spurts. I think
it's funny when people think I'm blonde (they're probably red-green
colorblind, lol). I usually call myself a redhead or strawberry
blonde, but only two people have actually named the true color of
my hair right - Gold; I was at some Planet Beauty store and found
out that was the name of the closest one I've ever seen to my
color; there are no dyes out there with my color, or so I've been
told. Sometimes people talk about my eyes, but there's plenty of
blue-green eyes in this world.
To some people I may come off as extroverted, but to those who are
observant they know I'm just a nervous talker. The reality is if
I'm socializing with a LOT of people & going to big events, it
really taxes my energy. It'll poop me out. A little company
energizes me, but a lot helps me get lots of sleep (unless I'm
REALLY nervous).
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
(A) mostly Shakespeare and Stephen King. I also like mystery-based
things; I like suspense in a book. Not to mention lots of wit.
Throw me the funny page any day.
(B) I'll try to get as many as possible that I can think of in
here... Freedom Writers, The Pelican Brief, Little Miss Sunshine,
The Fifth Element, The Green Mile, The Birdcage, 50 First Dates,
Dogma, Something's Gotta Give, Erin Brocovich, K-PAX, Amelie, Star
Wars IV - VI (the OLD ones!), Love Actually, Training Day, Crash,
Million Dollar Baby, The Cell, Chocolat, Fried Green Tomatoes,
Stardust.... and I'm running blanks here. I'll get back to
it.
Disney - Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty & the Beast, Monsters
Inc. The Secret of the NIHM, Fantasia, Ferngully
(C)Well, like I said, my music interests vary. I like just about
all kind of rock - alternative, indie, hard rock, metal, classic
rock, punk, some skaw. I like 80s pop as well, and some 90s pop is
alright, too, but I prefer the 90s rock to the pop. I really enjoy
50s & 60s, or oldies as one would call it... it was the first
thing I started listening to independently. You can never go wrong
with The Beatles, I tell you that. I love Jazz - almost all kinds.
Yea, there's about 5 to 6 kinds of Jazz, but I really like the big
band style, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Candy Dulfer, Kenny G, and
the old old jazz where the instruments sort of sound like they're
freelance talking to each other (can't remember what that's
called). I like Harry Conick Jr, Nat King Cole, and Natalie cole,
but I think they were considered R&B in the 90s. And YES, I do
like classical music and a little bit of opera. I enjoy Broadway
stuff as well, but I prefer that music live in theatre, not on CD
as much. I only sort of like hip-hop. I'm picky about certain
songs. If they sound fast and a little more original, or if they're
closer to the 80s beat & rhythm, it works for me. I love techno
- house, trance, electronica. I know, I know, some people say
trance isn't techno, but I beg to differ, because that's where
modern trance was derived from. I've read some of the
history.
The only types I'm not really that into are rap and country. I
technically only like old-school rap, and I'm basically TOLERANT of
most country (although, if I listen to it long enough, my head may
explode, just like it will with extremely repetitive modern rap).
I'm trying to see if I'm missing anything else, but I'm sure after
reading this, you'd actually believe me when I say I like a wide
variety.
(D) Too many to name... ok, after reading all the other stuff,
you're probably thinking I COULD name a lot, but I really don't
want to, and I'm not sure exactly what my favorite foods are.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Well, if you were referring to LIVING:
my shoes, my cell phone, my wallet with it's stuff, shelter, water,
food
But since you're referring to DOING:
My car, friendly people, good humor, my shoes, books/languages
(yes, to me, that's ONE thing), pens/pencils/papers
Noticed I mentioned my shoes twice. Yes, protecting my feet is
important. They get you more places than you could ever imagine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
Life & how it came to be, love/relationships, people's
reactions, philosophy, psychology, sociology, learning, thinking
about how others mind processes, science, health, my own future possibilities, my
friends/family,my schooling & its long term planning, drama at
work (lol, & yes, believe it or not) what's real & what's
not, body language, traveling, art, dancing....eh...& MANY more
things. I come up with really strange inquiries, too.
I'm also a borderline palindrome fanatic.
Update 11/15/08:
I've found myself curious about backpacking lately. You know, hiking
in the woods, camping with no typical tents, etc. How to survive in
the wild. I may look into that for further future.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Working most of the time. But if I wasn't, I'd probably be at a
pub, at home watching a rental movie in the dark with lots of
candles lit, watching a flick at a cheap movie theater, curling up
w/a good book, watching south park, hanging out with (a) friend(s).
I would put browsing Wal-Mart because there's nothing like going to
a store at 1:30 in the morning that isn't a grocery one, or some
restaurant. And I would go for walks late at night, but I've had
some scary incidents on the street that kept me off as much as
possible while the stars are all shining. Oh, & sometimes I go
with friends who drag me to bars. ;-b
Or perhaps you might find me with this close individual of
mine.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
A few things...
I'm an ornery hypocritical driver... but I mean absolutely nothing
by it. No, seriously. Laugh if I flip you off as I drive by.
Also, I might be verbally entertaining at times, but I'm not an
entertainer, so don't put that pressure on me. I have a bit of
performance anxiety.
I am also working on trusting people... don't ask. I've just been
in enough situations to constantly look outside the box & be
skeptical of the average human being.
One more thing... sometimes when I'm reading a sentence & that
I'm briefing over fast, I'll misinterpret a normal word - get this!
- for a word that is some type of food or sexual connotation. Or
maybe something that's completely derogatory, or towards the
opposite of what I'm thinking/talking about. Very strange, too. I
haven't figured out why that is, though.
Also, I'm looking to be Ms. Fix-it someday. I want to be able to
fix things around/inside the house if I need to. Learn a bunch of
non-conventional ways of fixing objects. Don't worry, that does not
include people. lol. Only others can fix themselves.

You should message me if Propose an edit
You want to know something... most likely something obscure, or
just plain flat out related to me.
I guess you could say I'm not REALLY looking for a date or a
relationship or anything in particular at all. I've been on a
drawback on searches. Now I'm simply just observing people &
enjoying the moments. As for anything date-wise or serious, I'll
make an effort if you can really convince me & I'm able to make
some time. & if you're comfortable to be around/talk to. I just
don't do too well when pressed or rushed or if someone has
expectations of me to "drop my life for them", if you know what I
mean. That stuff that comes with a lot more time. This is why I
like to hang out & just make friends for now.
