My self-summary
I am all about making my life as peaceful and harmonious as possible -I can live without the drama. More than once have I been called either "quirky" or "effervescent". I have a Shih-Tzu named Ruby and a kitten named Oscar, both whom I adore. I am ridiculously outgoing. I randomly paint rooms and furniture in my apartment out of boredom. I am practically incapable of being offended. To say that I can't dance is a serious understatement (But that doesn't stop me from playing Just Dance). I have an unnatural knack for getting hurt in the most hilarious ways. I love sunflowers and I brew beer. I've admired and adored Betty White since before it was cool. I have very little tolerance for discrimination against people's differences. Books are fantastic -I spend hours at the library (I love the smell). I am like a magpie. I find true contentment and joy in the little things.

"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you." -Christian D. Larson

What I’m doing with my life
I go to school full time. I'm an English-turned-biology-turned-business major. What I would really like to do, is be the "face" of some kind of zoo/aquarium/Cosi/charity setting -I want to know how the inside of the business works and then work to promote its cause. I am a natural charmer and also good at business -Think Jack Hannah, but with better shoes.

Currently, I work as an office manager at an architecture firm.

I'm the production assistant to a local band, Illicit Kitty. I am in charge of ensuring that whatever needs to happen does, in order for a flawless (as possible) show. I work on wardrobe and make up, schmooze the crowd, pass out merchandise, help with sound check and set up, and lots of other little things.

The first things people usually notice about me
A lot of people notice that I am a taller girl who likes to wear heels. Big heels, in fact. My friends joke that I have mugged drag queens for some of favorites.

They probably also notice that I am brutally and unforgivably sarcastic. I have a fantastic sense of humor and pride myself on making others laugh. I love being silly but also am very dry-witted. (If you don't like sarcasm and/or don't appreciate dry humor, I really am not the girl for you.) Beneath my sarcastic and hard-assed exterior, I am totally giving and a complete sweetheart... I promise.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Animal Farm; Anne of Green Gables; Black Beauty; Bridget Jones' Diary; Eats, Shoots, and Leaves; Fahrenheit 451; Jane Eyre; The Little House books; Of Mice and Men; Pride And Prejudice; The Color Purple; The Comma Sutra (I do mean comma -I'm a punctuation nerd to the core); The Kingfisher Treasury of Classic Stories; To Kill a Mockingbird; and Wicked.

In addition to the books above, I enjoy pretty much anything written by Stephen King (the early stuff), Betty White, or Gregory Maguire. I like the classic fairy tales. I also like how-to and random information books. I love dictionaries. I like Ovid.

Movies: A Lot Like Love, Across the Universe, Back to the Future Trilogy, Beauty and the Beast, Bridget Jones' Diary, Grandma's Boy, It's a Wonderful Life, James and the Giant Peach, The Land Before Time, Once, Love and Other Drugs, The Phantom of the Opera, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Pride And Prejudice, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Running With Scissors, Star Wars series (the originals), and When Harry Met Sally...

I truly am easy-to-please when it comes to movies. I enjoy most genres, only sometimes including the scary stuff. Horror/zombie/ghost/psychologically-thrilling/hiding-in-your-shower-to-kill-you-when-you-get-home movies do their jobs by completely terrifying me.

Music: The All-American Rejects, Augustana, Beethoven, Aqualung, The Black Keys, The Bloodhound Gang, Blue October, Cake, Eurythmics, Flogging Molly, Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, Hot Chip, Illicit Kitty, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Michael Bublé, Mika, Mozart, Mumford and Sons, Neverending White Lights, Norah Jones, Our Lady Peace, Prince, Rachmaninov, Regina Spektor, Sia, and Weezer

Food: Indian cuisine is my absolute favorite! Chinese and Mexican are always good too. I have never met a fruit or vegetable I haven't liked (Oh! Except okra -the little, blue seeds are so gross!). I really enjoy steak. Sushi is delicious. I like Chipotle. I like all kinds of soups. I have complete and pathetic weakness for rye toast with whipped cream cheese and strawberries, for green been fries , and for oranges.

Television: Doctor Who, Dexter, Family Guy, Glee, and True Blood. I'm still like The Golden Girls, Sex and the City, and Six Feet Under. Total guilty pleasures, of which I am ashamed: The Biggest Loser and America's Next Top Model.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I am a constant thinker, always in my head. I over think everything. I'm analytical and slightly neurotic, to say the least.

"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's OK though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation... So, when I meet someone who's an 8-color type, I'm like, "Hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "Oh, you mean purple!" and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, "No - I want magenta!" -John Mayer

On a typical Friday night I am
I'm more of a last-minute-planner, in this regard. I sometimes spend the evening in -I can be a bit of a homebody. Maybe I get dinner with someone. Or maybe my band has a show, which is actually really likely. You never can tell though -I'm easygoing when it comes to making plans.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a truly paranoid fear of, while shopping, having someone run into the back of my heels with a shopping cart.
