I am ..., hmmm, and ?.
My Self-Summary
MARRIED MEN: Please do not contact me. I am not interested in a
relationship of any kind with someone who is promised to someone
"for better and for worse." This includes "friendships."
Those of you who claim you are seperated, no longer in love, no
longer doing it with your wife, bored or whatever, this applied to
you as well. Instead of spending your time on dating websites, why
don't you try to repair your marriage? If you can't, wait until
you're single to date. I am not interested in a guy jumping ship.
While you may not have any respect for your married state, I
do.
This is a new addition to my profile, and I
hate to add this, I really do! For anyone who this does not apply
to, please accept my apology. While it may not shine a positive
light on me, I have been pursued by too many married men and want
to stop defending my view of marriage to every guy who is in a
fight with his wife and looking for attention. I am hoping the
above filters some of the many married guys out.
This seems alot harder than it is...I love to read eveyone else's
summaries but I just don't know how to summarize me!
What I’m doing with my life
I am working full time in a job that pays the bills, while working
on my MA. I wanted to be a teacher or a rock star when I grew up,
and somehow veered off those paths. Since I don't have a band, I'm
going for teaching. In between working and school, I love hanging
out with my friends and family (how original!). When I can I love
to do anything that involves music. Local bands (NOT COVER bands),
anything to do with "the Blues" (festivals, concerts, shows). I
love trying anything once, sometimes twice...
I’m really good at
Listening. Seems like an easy skill, however I find that a listener
is a rare individual. A good conversation is so satisfying, and the
topic could be anything. I can also find humor in most situations,
although sometimes it can be a tad... well, just a tad... not funny
to some. (?) I try to be sensitive however. Oh, and writing BS. I
have a BA in BS
The first things people usually notice about me
...no one has ever told me the answer to this questions. Of course
guys have come up with the ice breakers about smile, eyes, boobs...
ect... but those lines aren't tailored to me. So I asked some
friends, and since most of my friends go back with me over decades,
their answers were no good. One friend told me the first thing she
recalled was trying to catch up with me after school to be my
friend, as I seemed "so cool". When she asked what was in my
walkman, she was VERY disappointed, however, she still decided to
be my friend and try to make me cool. Maybe one day I'll tell you
what the tape was, but it's one of my darker secretes and we'll
need to get to know each other first.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books- too many to list, I always have afew on the burner at one
time. Movies- I have a ton of favorite movies; GoodFellas,
Dangerous Liasons, Jesus Christ Superstar (don't laugh- I lOVE the
soundtrack!)in fact, I love most musicals, in another fact, if a
medicore movie has a killer soundtrack it get bumped up on my list.
Food- depends on my mood. Moods.
The six things I could never do without
How many original answers are there for this? The people I love, of
course... spellcheck, books, music, chocolate and running water. I
love that stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The revolution! Yes, I have been planning it for some time. Of
course, I am hoping that things straighten out for a bit while I
finish my degree, and after a nice vacation so I can postpone it.
Also my dream vacation, that slips into my mind to whisk me away
from my dreary job. I'd love to just drive all through the US,
stopping at anything that seems interesting. From the tourist traps
to the scary little southern towns. And people, just people...
On a typical Friday night I am
Studying, homework or finding a reason to put off studying. If I
feel like being bad, I love to catch up with friends at local dirty
bars. The kind where the beer is cheap and the women cheaper...
(sorry, that was lame). But you know the kind. Where else can I get
away with enjoying some Skynard with my Bud and not having to
apologize for it? But I do like to play dress up and do grown up
things too, sometimes. I am comfortable with most settings. And I
LOVE going to Wings Games! That's a newer thing for me. Loud music,
beer, men beating each other with sticks... I dont' know much about
the game but I do know I have fun when I go!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
well, then it's not private anymore, is it? Ok- that tape in my
walkman was the Miami Vice Soundtrack.
You should message me if
you're funny. Really funny, not middle school boy funny (well, I'll
let a sophmoric remarks slide by once in a while), not mean funny
(well, sometimes mean, but not "I have issues so I hide behind what
I think is sardonic wit, but it's obvious I haven't gotten over
high school yet" ). Clever, I like clever. and witty, and sarcastic
with silly. Fun. A good conversationalist.
