My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Keeping myself filled with wonder and curiosity about the world around me. Striving to always be in a state of learning. Spreading happiness and minimizing suffering to everyone around me to the best of my ability.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a QA engineer. I help build awesome websites for clients like Disney and Google.

Teaching myself programming on the side with aspirations of eventually getting into Android app development. I have a few neat ideas for apps. Ask me about it!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have a good memory. I'm good at remembering faces and voices. It's quite uncanny.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Perhaps confusion over my ethnicity. Most people assume I'm either Filipino or Hispanic, which I suppose aren't terrible guesses (Half Lao, quarter Mexican, quarter white is the correct answer).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm always reading one book or another at any given time. A few of my favorites are Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Giver, and A Song of Ice and Fire. Anything by Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Neil deGrasse Tyson, or Richard Dawkins.

My favorite TV shows are Community, Louie, Doctor Who, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Office, Flight of the Conchords, Arrested Development, Firefly, Scrubs, Boy Meets World, The Wonder Years, Fresh Prince of Bel-air, and Married with Children.

My favorite movie is Forrest Gump. Other favorites include The Fountain, 50 First Dates, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I Love You Man, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Big Lebowski, Blazing Saddles, The Departed, Moon, and Interstellar. Basically anything directed by Christopher Nolan. Or Darren Aronofsky. Or scored by Clint Mansell.

Music:
Anything from The Beatles to 2pac, from Willie Nelson to Regina Spektor, and almost everything in between. My favorite bands right now are probably Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men, and Florence + the Machine.

I love Thai, Mexican, Italian, and sushi. Love spicy food and I would probably put lemon/lime on everything I eat if I could.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Learning
- My dog
- Friends
- Laughter
- My phone
- Empathy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The unfathomable vastness of the universe. A couple years back I attended an event hosted by The Planetary Society, hosted by Bill Nye, on the night the Curiosity Rover landed on Mars. It was one of the most memorable nights of my life. Mr. Nye did a great job of getting everyone excited about what was being attempted by NASA and JPL. As it was being announced in real-time that Curiosity was making its descent into the Martian atmosphere, the excitement in the room was palpable. When we got confirmation that Curiosity successfully landed, an incredible wave of cheers swept all of us. You could see genuine joy and excitement on every face there, especially on Bill Nye. That night, it blew my mind to think that somewhere out there in the dark of space, a human creation landed on another planet. Shaking Bill's hand that night is something I will probably keep with me for the rest of my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Breaking a sweat at the gym. At home relaxing with my dog. Playing board games or video games with friends. Getting experimental in the kitchen with some recipe I found online. Watching documentaries on Netflix. Watching or reading online lectures about programming and trying out various programming exercises. All of the above are likely candidates.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I weeped like a baby during Episode 12 of Season 4 of Louie. If you did too, let's be friends.
You should message me if
