In a relationship, not interested in anything.

My contract says "web developer", which means I make all the back end stuff (mysql, php), the client stuff (web design, javascript, CSS, graphics) and everything in between (mostly sysadmining). It's not as glamourous as some might think.

I value my spare time, and when I'm not working I like to indulge in games (computer-, board-, roleplaying-), reading (mostly hard-sci space opera and history) or some form of escapism/creative activity. I help organize a lot of milsim games and LARPs, which take up quite a lot of time and effort. Other than that I spend an unhealthy amount of time on IRC, or watch tv series, hang out with people who share my interests or fiddle around with one programming project or other.

I try to go to any gig that sounds interesting, but I really dislike big gigs. I prefer small clubs and bands I've never heard over large stadium concerts.

I like photographing things, especially broken down buildings and objects.

I guess I have an active imagination; I'm good at creative stuff like writing and building fiction. I used to be a pretty good cook, but I've sort of lost interest. I like to think I'm pretty good at cracking problems, especially programmatical ones.

Like I said, I mostly read hard-sci nowadays, but I dabble in history and fantasy as well. Favourite writers are (in no particular order) Stephen Donaldson, Neal Stephenson, George RR Martin, Raymond E Feist, Alastair Reynolds, Stephen Baxter, Peter F Hamilton, HP Lovecraft and Richard Morgan.

Movies; a few favourites: Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Das Boot, Stalingrad, Aliens, Atonement, Lucky People Center International, Reservoir Dogs, Der Untergang, Blade Runner, Brazil, etc. I like *good* scifi movies (of which there are depressingly few) and I wish there were more german war movies made.

When it comes to music, I'm eclectic. I mostly tend to listen to vocoder-heavy electro (like Anthony Rother, Blastromen, Diplomat etc), neofolk (Current 93, DIJ, Forseti etc) and different kinds of electronic music (EBM, breakcore, dark ambient, synthpop, power electronics etc), but I slip some hiphop, folk and pop in there sometimes.

Books, computers, coffee, friends, music and good food.

Transhumanism (bettering mankind by cool stuff like cybernetic implants, genetic engineering, psychobiological augmentation etc). I really hope I get to experience the beginning of that revolution, but I guess I won't.

I think a lot about politics, and I really can't understand people who don't. Everything is politics.

And I tend to be a daydreamer.
