My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi I am Rob, an inventor in Berkeley. For relaxation, I make multimedia art and love to cook vegetarian cuisine. Also, I rock-climb and bicycle. I am not monogamous; I am in a long term open relationship.

I am flirtatious and uninhibited; I love exchanging a smile across the room :-)

I am enthusiastic, loquacious, and nocturnal
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been self employed in my vocation as an inventor since 2007. In 2011 my artwork hung in an SF gallery and seemed to be a hit because the 5 pieces were stolen! I plan to continue to make more ambitious art projects, collaborating in engineering, art and other projects.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...teaching what I know to other people. I like public speaking, writing, teaching and have enjoyed being filmed too.

...making great pizza. In HS I loved my job at a local pizza shop and I kept up with those skills. However I'm vegetarian, so no pepperoni (I miss it)

...drawing wacky visions. Stay tuned, I plan to post a few items in the ol' journal.

...fixing electro-mechanical stuff, wiring AV equipment, computers and the like
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My "mad scientist hair" is obvious, and I am told I have very intense eye-contact. Conversationally while at first I may be a little reserved in a new group, it is inevitable that I become very talkative and expressive (especially if caffeine is involved :-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: anything by Neil Gaiman, Umberto Eco, Dean Koontz, Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Stephenson,

Movies: Matrix (all 3), Name of the Rose, V for Vendetta, Alien Quadrilogy

Music: Bjork, Jai Uttal & the Pagan Love Orchestra, Midival Punditz (music is pretty fluid, so Bjork is pretty much constant other stuff is genre indicator mostly)

Food: I am vegetarian, ovo-lacto (but I really don't like eggs as such). I cook South Asian, Tex-Mex, Mediterranean and other eclectic foods (though I have only supported myself as a cook in Tex-Mex, Italian and French cuisines). I love to make pizza! My slow-cooker is my friend
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Desert Island Basics: Fire, edible vegetation, companionship, knife, bamboo, backpack (hmmm... is this in rank order?)

Urban list: Knife, Soap, Train ticket, local currency, passport, backpack (one can pirate electricity anywhere in a city, but I have found soap sometimes harder to come by)

Geekdom: Android, laptop, dual monitors, large loudspeakers, torrents
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How things work-- things that exist and also things that don't. Ask me about directed creativity groups and the invention mill.

How to make the world better-- reduced consumption is a lifestyle choice, a philosophy. And it starts with not accepting bags at stores.

Girls-- 'nuff said :-)

Science-- My interests are really broad and so I dabble in many areas as any good mad scientist should.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday nights are either climbing in the gym or out painting the town red -- sometimes I manage both!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will discuss many things 1:1 but for the profile I will say that:

I can be very forgetful and it annoys me no end.

Polyamory is hugely fun, but it is also requires a lot of work.
