My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, what's new and exciting with you? I can't complain- and feel free to roll your eyes at me if I ever do so. I just adopted a pair of adorable tiny kittens, this is my 9th year of owning my business (and perfecting the art of being a mad scientist), I can run further and faster than I could in my twenties, and I'm kicking ass at nonmonogamy with my long-term partner la_sandia

I am flirtatious, chatty, and uninhibited; I love exchanging a smile from across the room :-) I routinely go on long bike rides and cackle madly into the night.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been self employed as an inventor since 2007. In 2011 my artwork hung in an SF gallery and must have been a hit because the 5 pieces were stolen! I like to putter around the house- gardening, tinkering, cooking delicious vegetarian food, and communing with my three cats and two guinea pigs.

Big fan of day and weekend trips- camping, urban exploring, rock climbing, harbin, hiking. Occasional business travel around the world, which is always too short!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...nurturing plants back to life and befriending every animal I meet.

...teaching what I know to other people and learning what they have to teach me.

...being supportive, understanding, subversive, and silly.

...experimenting with all of the different ways to make a delicious vegetarian pizza.

...drawing wacky visions. I've been told my art looks like an acid explosion.

...fixing electro-mechanical stuff, wiring AV equipment, computers and the like

...Tuvan throat singing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My "mad scientist hair" is obvious, and I am told I have very intense eye-contact. Conversationally while at first I may be a little reserved in a new group, it is inevitable that I become very talkative and expressive (especially if caffeine is involved :-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: anything by Neil Gaiman, Umberto Eco, Dean Koontz, Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Stephenson,

Movies: Matrix (all 3), Name of the Rose, V for Vendetta, Alien Quadrilogy

Music: Bjork, Jai Uttal & the Pagan Love Orchestra, Midival Punditz, Flaming Lips, Led Zeppelin

Food: I'm vegetarian, king of the salad bar. If we hang out I will inevitably recommend we get Indian food. I love to make pizza! My slow-cooker is my friend.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Desert Island Basics: Fire, edible vegetation, companionship, knife, bamboo, backpack (hmmm... is this in rank order?)

Urban list: Knife, Soap, Train ticket, local currency, passport, backpack (one can pirate electricity anywhere in a city, but I have found soap sometimes harder to come by)

Geekdom: Android, laptop, dual monitors, large loudspeakers, torrents
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How things work-- things that exist and also things that don't.

What my cats are thinking about. Or what they're trying to tell me.

The common occurrence of coming up with a brilliant idea, only to do some research and find that it's either theoretically possible, or has made a person some serious fuck you money, or a summer house at the very least.

Ways to improve the world-- I have my ideas for how to make this happen, I am more interested in hearing yours...

Women. Brilliant, perverted, sensual, energetic, complicated Women.

Science-- My interests are really broad and so I dabble in just about everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cackling to myself for avoiding a 9-5, M-F existence and reveling in any of the following, at any time- rock climbing, baking, tinkering in my lab, hot tubbing, warming a barstool, adventures with friends, researching, flirting. My favorite activity- skulking around the east bay on lengthy, stealthy bike rides.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will discuss prettymuch anything 1:1 but for the profile I will say that I can be very forgetful and a little face blind and it annoys me no end.
