My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I keep getting complaints that I sound too abrasive but would you rather talk to someone who sounds or behaves like they're not really interested in you or someone who's actually taken the time to somewhat read your profile and get to know you? I don't think I'm asking for too much. I've seen some people asking from the get-go that you make six figures or be openly into threesomes. Being able to carry a conversation beyond ''Hi, how are you?'' In a message doesn't sound so awful now, does it?

Finished writing my first novel after 8 years, finished my BA in English and am currently working on my second book.

I understand this is the Internet, but I hate one line messages. I see them and immediately think you either are pressed for time or didn't care enough to go beyond being informal and short. Please stop doing that guys. Seem interested! Engage me! You don't have one word conversations on dates [ I hope!] So please stop sending me these sad short emails. I only respond to them if I think you're interesting which is 20 percent of the time.

Bottom line:

Engage me, seem interested and I'll be more inclined to respond to you not to mention eventually date.

I'm generally an open minded person when it comes to trying new things like, music some different foods and different cultures. Some things about me always tend to stay the same though. For instance, when I go to vending machines I always get Starburst candies, it's pretty much been that way since High school. In someways, especially in terms of food I tend to like a lot of sweets and meat. Not really a big fan of fish though. I'm sarcastic and quirky. I listen to most music, but a lot of what I'm into is ten years old, or oldies from the 70's 60's or 80's. My parents are older, so I suppose I get it from them.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Self publishing my first novel while I'm the process of working on my second. I'm having my cover art re done but am trying to have everything finished by the end of next month if not, August.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing and giving others advice. I've been writing since I was 10 or 12. It's something I still have a passion for and probably always will. I write short stories and poetry regularly.
The first things people usually notice about me

Probably the way I walk. I was born prematurely and with cerebral palsy, as well as epilepsy. This is something that hasn't really stopped me from doing much. Generally, I'd like the man I'm with to be as open minded as I am. I don't and wont discriminate against people from other races, because I know what it's like to be looked at differently because you walk a certain way or may have a developmental delay. They may be different issues, but the end result is the same.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family because they keep me grounded and half way crazy most of the time.
A good book or my e reader.
Being able to write if not once a day at least occasionally.
Empathy for others. I love helping people and depending on the situation can be very selfless.
Good conversation. I think being able to carry a conversation with a person says a lot about you. If you can actually sit down and discuss issues whether they're important to you or not we'll probably get along.

Still need to figure out #6!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Writing or going to live shows if I have time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm scared of clowns. I'm admitting it now, and seldom admit it unless someone close to me asks. I don't think it has to do with actual fear, but they make me uncomfortable because I don't know what they're thinking. Are you happy to see me, or are you secretly plotting to kill me behind your smile? It sounds weird, but I went to Barnum and Bailey as a young teen and was never the same after that.

You're funny, witty smart and want to get to know someone who likes to laugh but is a bit of a homebody. I'm random, but also I like making plans to go out. I find comedy in everyday things and see things differently than most people
