My self-summary
Kind of quirky with a decent sense of humor..... My bumper sticker collection contains one that says "I <3 Dorks." True Story. I try to never stop learning. Traveling, nature, and music are big passions of mine... I'm way overdue for a good road-trip. Who's in?
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching........ when the opportunity presents itself.
Learning........ always.
Laughing....... whenever possible. I like puns. A lot.
Playing............especially with my niece (18 months) and nephew (who I'm convinced is a 50-year-old man trapped in a 6-year-old's body) and with my cat, Penny (who is a long-haired Calico diva who is very in touch with her "inner dog." She even plays fetch. Seriously.)
Collecting....... I like magnets. They're so functional, and quaint, and affordable, and compact. What's not to like?
I also try to collect expensive papers, i.e. degrees: got my MSEd. last December, have a Teaching Certificate, a B.S. in Environmental Studies (hence the screen name), and a Graduate Certificate in Ocean Studies. Woop woop.
I’m really good at
(How do you answer this without sounding like an arrogant snob? )
Anyway, first thing that came to my mind is: I'm pretty good at writing (usually), having fun, working with kids and animals, traveling, speaking French.
I don't cook much, but I will rip up the dance floor any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. haha
The first things people usually notice about me
are my sarcasm and my larger than normal eyes.

The six things I could never do without
1. water (potable and otherwise)
2. sunshine (at least once or twice a week)
3. family / friends
4. books (preferably in print but Kindle-versions too)
5. freedom (in every sense of the word)
6. lovable animals (pets, farm animals, shelter dogs, what-have-you)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future..... (take from that what you will. Or ask me about the details)
On a typical Friday night I am
.......tired. Friday evenings are often "me-time" to recover from the week by doing something relaxing (taking a nap, watching a movie, going for a walk, hangin' out with girlfriends, etc.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I have massive crushes on Macklemore, Jimmy Fallon, and Bradley Cooper. Big time.
You should message me if
you're honest and loyal......
you laugh a lot......
and you're anxious to close the laptop and actually GO OUT together!
