I am outgoing, funny, and honest.

My Self-Summary

I have a very outgoing personality, and my friends describe me as friendly, honest, and funny. I'm the kind of person who strikes up conversations with people on the bus or the Metro. I like to find humor in everything. I enjoy making people laugh.

I keep myself bus with various hobbies. I've been playing guitar for a couple of years now. I like going to open mic night to hear local music and meet musicians. I started playing at local open mics at Arts Cafe and Grumpy's this year. It's a blast!

I'm also cooking and baking. I have perfected a butter chicken recipe. I bake a mean batch of ginger cookies. I find it fun to put on some music and bake or cook. I just need to add more recipes to my repertoire.

I started riding a motorcycle again. I had a bike many years ago. It feels nice to be on the road again and go for rides in the nice summer Montreal weather (while it lasts!).

I like photography. I just started taking a photography class, which is a lot of fun. Send me a message and I'll send you a link to my flickr stream.

I rock out at the gym a couple of times a week, and also muy thai (kickboxing). I did some muy thai when I was younger, and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm enjoying it even more now. Such a great work out, and I'm learning something at the same time!

I'm also a modern day geek. I'm social and outgoing, but I also like to geek out sometimes. I've built my own digital video records and written a bunch of software. Lately I've been sticking to the geek stuff at work and focusing on the photography and music at home.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a software engineer at a company that I love. I can't imagine ever working for another place. I enjoy my work a lot. It's like a game or puzzle to me.

Although I enjoy work a lot, I keep a good work life balance. Gym, kickboxing, photography, and guitar.

I’m really good at

Keeping a conversation going. I like going on adventures and having a different kind of fun that people are used to having.

I'm good at almost anything to do with technology. I'm trying to get good at playing guitar and taking pictures.

The first things people usually notice about me

Probably that I'm brown :)

People usually notice my outgoing personality and friendliness. I'm not shy. I like to get to know people and share a laugh or a story.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I started reading "for fun" after university. The first book I read was "Life of Pi." It was great! It really made me want to read more. I thoroughly enjoyed "The Time Traveler's Wife". I'm interested in anything to do with time travel, and it was a nice love story as well. Yes, I liked "The Notebook" movie as well :P. I enjoyed "Diary". I recently finished reading "White Tiger", and now I'm reading "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins.

As for movies, I've always been a big fan of the "Back to the Future" trilogy. I like to have some silly movies around for when I can't get to sleep, like "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Anchorman". I like watching "Love Actually" on a rainy or snowy day.

I love "Arrested Development", "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", "Family Guy", "Smallville", "The Office", "Dexter", and "Californication". I'm a huge Superman fan. I watched all seasons of Alias. I got to the point where I looked into working for the CIA and CSIS.

I like to try all kinds of food. I like Indian, Ethiopian, and Vietnamese.

The six things I could never do without

My brother (and the rest of my family!). He's been my best friend for such a long time.

Guitar. I play almost everyday.

Hate to say it, but laptop/internet. My life has a lot to do with technology. I enjoy it a lot. I don't need to be online all the time or anything. I've gone weeks without sitting down at a computer during vacations.

Camera.

iPod.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Not much. I'm pretty content with my life right now.

On a typical Friday night I am

Grabbing beers and dinner with colleagues or friends after work. I like to socialize, but I also have moments where I appreciate some solitude.

Exploring new restaurants or pubs is fun. I like to trade favorites with friends. Take me to your favorite this week, I'll take you to mine next week.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Well, I'm not sure if I'd really admit to anything too private to people I don't really know.

But I can share somethings that some people may find embarrassing (I don't get embarrassed too easily). I used to be a big fan of Elvis Presley when I was a kid. I was also a huge Jewel fan in middle school. I still dig their music, but their not my favorite anymore.
