I had the misfortune of knowing I was very smart as a child and could get by without trying. I realized later to do anything amazing requires effort. I now error in the side of greatness.
My life is well lived and I have the insight, scars, and emotional intelligence to go along with it. Mostly it's made me smart, nice, and reasonable.
I enjoy warm tea, books made of paper, and snuggling. Especially when it's raining, reminds me of my childhood.
I was raised in an Indian ashram until I was a teenager. I found the culture shift to the U.S. very hard. I enjoy sharing anecdotes from my cultural displacement.
I've lived in 5 countries: the US, Serbia, S. Korea, India, & Germany. Traveled to 50+, and passed through a half dozen more. I have fantastic stories and few friends. I've found expanding the former much easier than the latter.
I've been lucky to find personally fulfilling work that helps the world, and pays enough to dent my student loans. I wasn't always so lucky with former jobs including: photographer, day trader, public speaker, pseudo-scientist, and communication consultant.
