Striving to be a better person.

I go to school for environmental interpretation and journalism. It's taken me years to get here and I'm grateful that I can still keep learning.

I work for a couple of non-profits. I am happy to be serving causes I care about.

I set time aside to remember what it is I'm working for, to be immersed in the vast depth of beauty of our world. I bike, hike, swim, climb, and otherwise play in what little nature we have left as I work to ensure more remains and regrows.

I'm an amateur photographer and I rather enjoy it. I also do graphic and web design on the side, mostly for non-profits and people I care about. I think a lot, often to no avail but occasionally to some minor insight. I'm good to people, but wish I were better still. I practice kindness as often as I can, but never quite enough.

I dress like a colorblind hippie who just got out of bed. I have zero fashion sense and it seems I actively conspire against myself to keep it that way.

Ecology and energy efficiency. Humanity's place in nature. How to not come off as an eco-terrorist when I talk to strangers. That sort of thing.

Relaxing at home, unless it's Arts Arcata. In which case I'd relax at home with a lot more guilt.

I believe that working for the greater good is the only way to free ourselves from the chains of our egos.

In my world there is no god, no karma, only us and our destinies bound, facing together an uncertain future with defiance and hope. Like all before us we shall live and we shall pass, and what we leave behind is some soil, some stories, and perhaps some soul.

I would like to find someone to walk this path with, to share in humble service and gratitude for the life and time we are given here.
