Hey, I'm Kayleigh.

I'm one of the easiest going people you'll ever meet. I'm also a workaholic and if I'm not working I'm probably not as happy as I could be.

I finished undergrad in 2011 with a BA in Drama and Anthropology. I'm kind of a tomboy and always have been that way. Though If I wasn't a carpenter and constantly covered in sawdust I might dress up more often. I talk and think about my job a lot. I'm a Props Artisan on and off Broadway and I'm a lighting designer and technician for New Jersey Public schools. I've worked at the Barrington Stage Company in the past year. Got to work on a bunch of great stuff, including two shows that are going to Broadway in the next two years or so.

I'm definitely a Geek. I'm a huge fan of Firefly, Doctor Who, and other geeky shows. I play a few table top and RPGs. I'm addicted to Settlers of Catan, Munchkin, Smallworld and others I have yet to try. XD. Though on the other side I love Spike TV, Deadliest Warrior, UFC and watching baseball.

I also love body mod, and tattoos. I design all my tattoos myself so they mean exactly what I want them too. Each one represents some inner part of my personality and I take them very seriously. No tweety birds or pretty flowers for me. lol

I'm really easy going. I adore just hanging out with music, hitting a coffee shop, or turning a favorite movie into a drinking game. I'm generally really chill and unless it's a concert, I'm not that crazy about huge crowds and wild parties. But I love just going out, hitting a pub and chilling with friends.

I graduated Kenyon College in 2011 with a Bachelors in drama and Anthropology. I've worked on 7 or 8 Broadway shows since I've graduated. In the next or so I'll be starting a Local One IATSE Apprenticeship somewhere in the City. I placed on their apprenticeship test and so I can't wait to start my job with them and learn everything I can.

In terms of long term goals, however, I'm thinking of set design later on in my career but in the close future I'd love to be a prop coordinator for shows. It's stage management for things that don't move, which helps. lol Whatever I end up doing needs to lead to me being a professor. I've discovered this year, that's all I want to do, so any career I get is just something I can teach students later on.

I'm also in the process of losing a lot of weight. I'm down 65 pounds in about 18 months. So these photos are kind of outdated, but you'll get the idea. Still a big girl, just not quite as big as before. :P

A lot of people say that I give really sound, unbiased advice. I'm good at stepping out of a situation and looking at it objectively to try and work it out.

I also have a ridiculous sense of humor. I'll probably be able to make you laugh at anything.

My smile and ridiculous sense of humor. I'm always smiling or laughing my ass off about something. I can also go from being quiet and overly polite to swearing like a sailor in about 5 seconds flat. Just enough time to get an inappropriate joke off. xD

Music, more than anything is something I couldn't get by without. I've seen more concerts than I can count and I have a list of artists I need to see before I or they die, which ever comes first. But here are some of my top music choices:

But also analyzing people's behaviors and cultures from an Anthropological perspective. Trying to figure out what was the cultural stem of different behaviors and traditions... I was an Anth major as well as a theater major after all, lol

Playing Settlers of Catan with some friends, or hanging at another friends place turning obscure animated movies into drinking games and cultural allegories.

Has had to put a family member through rehab and detox more than once.
