My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a passionate, fun-spirited, romantic soul. I care deeply for those close to me. I tend to see the positive connections in life and try not to dwell on the bad. Life's about looking up and reaching out. And it's what you make of it -- this quote says it for me "Traveler, there is no road, the road is made by walking."

But quite honestly, how can one summarize oneself in a nice neat little paragraph? Perhaps I should add something about where I've been - top of Uluru in Australia, swimming in the azure seas of Tahiti, riding a horse in The Cotswald countryside of England, walking cobblestone hills of Vico Morcote...does where you've been describe who you are? I think the way you travel does reveal something about your personality. Wanting to explore off the beaten path, dine with the locals and not the tourists, experience the wine, food, culture as seen through friends who live there..hey, I think I've managed to tie my first paragraph quote to this second paragraph - my 11th grade English teacher would be proud!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After almost 3 years of taking a big bite out of the New York apple, this California girl headed back home which is where I'm from - though originally from SoCal. I wanted to be close to family including my two amazing fully grown (college age) daughters. I'm really excited about a new job I just started in Berkeley and am moving to Oakland in about a month (currently in Los Gatos).

And I'm excited to really explore the Bay Area. Wine, arts, nature, beach, music concerts.. so much to see and do here. I love the ragged hillside and natural beauty of Big Sur, Carmel by the Sea, and the glorious vineyards of Napa. But I also love the arts and culture and dining experiences that go with a big city like SF or the unique neighborhoods around Berkeley, Oakland and Marin.

When it comes to love and romance, I think there needs to be some sense of shared interests for two people to have that initial connection. But I also believe that one can learn and grow from your partner's interests and passions in life -- you don't have to be mirror images of each other to make it work, more complementary partners. It's about a shared outlook on life - a youthful exuberant positive outlook that means living in the moment and making life come to you!

I think you know almost immediately if there's potential with someone. "Sometimes it's just taking a person's hand and it's like .... "magic."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Creating new beginnings, evolving, going after what I believe is truly important, listening, caring, sharing, loving, laughing, enjoying, supporting, healing, and kissing : )

Huge movie buff from classic film noir, foreign and Indie. List is long, but to name a few: Gravity, Before Sunrise, The Artist, The Third Man, Citizen Kane, The Graduate, Two for the Road, A Man and a Woman, Sleepless in Seattle, L'auberge Espagnole, LOTR, Groundhog Day, A Room with a View, Hitchcock especially Rear Window, Nightmare Before Christmas, Best in Show, Princess Bride, 500 Days of Summer, Jean De Florette. Still think the best version of JE's P&P was with Colin Firth.

TV/Radio currently watching: don't watch a lot of "live" TV but Netflix shows like: Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Mad Men, Grace &Frankie, indie and foreign films, life-long NPR fan

Music tastes are very eclectic and include: Milky Chance, Hoozier, Passenger, Edward Sharp, Cold Play, Jack Johnson, Regina Spektor, Young the Giant, Jason Mraz, Ella, Sinatra, Brubeck, Jobim, classical, Beatles, Roxy Music, Pretenders, Carol King, The Stones, Cat Stevens, The Beatles...

Food: I've been vegetarian for many years but this doesn't mean I only eat veggies! Enjoy wide variety of ethnic cuisines - enjoy eating and cooking organic..though fall back favorite combo would be a glass of Prosecco, black olives, cheese and a baguette -- even better if having these in a small cafe in France or Italy
