A question for the girls (who like guys) of OKC
Sep 7, 2009
This website is full of creeps of all kinds, and they just love to prove it with creepy messages. I know some of you receive hundreds of messages and can't even begin to consider replying to all of them.
My question is simply this: For those of you whom I described above, do you believe that receiving so many messages, many of which are boring, stupid, or completely insensitive makes it easier or harder for the non-creeps and interesting guys to have any chance of getting through to you?
The argument for "easier" would be something along the lines of "they look better by comparison."
The argument for "harder" is "there are just too many messages and I gave up on checking them."
I suspect any answers I get to this post will suffer from too much selection bias to make this a meaningful poll, so answer, if you can, in terms of anecdotes or your personal experience on the site.
Intelligence Test

You might have a hard time with me if you've ever argued that:
1) In the standard Monty Hall problem, switching doors is not a superior strategy.
2) In the standard "silent blue-eyed people on an island" problem that the information bearer doesn't give anyone any new information or all n blue-eyed people don't leave on the nth day.
3) In the standard Traveler's Dilemma, a game-theoretic rational actor playing another game-theoretic rational actor (and this fact common knowledge) will play anything other than the minimum allowed value.
4) Intelligent Design is a science.
It really bugs me when people throw down the gauntlet to oppose incontrovertible facts. Usually, I like cheering for the underdog, but sometimes the underdog is the underdog precisely because they have it 100% wrong.

I think that should be "hungry, freezing, sick sucks" because on days as hot as this, being allowed to go out naked would be awesome.
