My self-summary
My name is Edward Vincent, but I go by Vince. I've been in and out of a few relationships recently and gone through my share of rough patches, but other than that, I'm just me...I was a Navy BRAT (Born, Raised And Trained) for the first 8 years of my life, I was born in California, lived in Hawaii, Japan, Connecticut, then on to a very small town, called Red Bud, in Illinois, and on to a slightly larger town of Franklinton, NC, now I go where my feet take me. I'm just a guy, I like movies and such...I am a total music and sci-fi junkie...I drink, but not too badly. Not much of a sports freak. But I do what I do, and I am true to my heart...I hate being conventional and despise being watched over. I am a very trusting person, and a guy most people describe as a good guy...

Something new people should know, that "other" under religion, to the right: I was born and baptized Catholic, but never felt the "voice" of God, so I resigned to simply being agnostic and dabbled in religion for a bit, but have recently become a tech-hugging Egyptian Wicca. And so I'm sure the Christians will, but even I call myself a witch.

I am off-the-wall, goofy, and intelligent

What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am taking on the daunting task of starting my own business, a computer hardware and software repair company, I call it Doesn't-Byte Computers. I worry I'm insane for this, but I have faith have fun in my craziness, and try to make other people's day a little more interesting...I am usual very social when in the situation, but i don't go crazy for throwing myself into situations...

I’m really good at
I'm really good at computers and technology in general...I can take apart, describe, and then reassemble a computer, and I do this for fun...I have been working with computers since I was six and enjoyed every minute of it...although being a geek in general, I'm not much of a gamer, I mean, I do game, but mostly games that are really silly, or fun, nothing too serious...

The first things people usually notice about me
I'm very tall, and as I said, I act pretty crazy for the sake of entertaining people...the phrase "All the worlds a stage" is an understatement for me...I play to the audience, act silly for fun, and ad-lib and play theater games for the sake of making people laugh. And I'm really geeky, or nerdy since that's the correct term for the top echelon of geek, dweeb, and dork-dom...trust me, I even scare my friends sometimes with how geeky I am...

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hmmm, well I guess I'll answer this one at a time:

Book(s): I love reading, but I'm a little picky...My favorite book of all time has to be Sphere by Micheal Crichton, followed by the Ender series and the Bean series by Orson Scott Card. I also like the Potter series. And I like, although don't agree with all the elements, the Twilight series...seriously, sparkly vampires and such, no sense being made there, but I like how it sounds and the strong love story.

Movie(s): I like nothing more than laying back, chilling and watching a good movie. And that good movie for me? Well, being the geek I am, I'd say the Matrix movies make the top of my list, followed by Moulin Rouge because its got musical elements and a love story all rolled into one, and then Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (the answer is 42!), Holy Grail is a great movie too, and last but not least, the Ocean movies and James Bond movies tie for last.

Music: My favorite band ever would have to be Linkin Park! Other than the favorite there, I'm into just about anything and everything, except country. *shivers* I only like, maybe, 1% of country songs. Tops would be Nightwish, Daft Punk, Evanescence, Godsmack, Hinder, Shiny Toy Guns, Rasputina and Marilyn Manson, and Dir En Grey. Back-ups would be alternative and music from symphonies in general.

Food: I am a Asian food fanatic, I love sushi, and other various asian style foods, but I also have my roots, good steak and potatoes is always good. I am pretty open minded to food though.

The six things I could never do without
Technology is a big one...I'm an uber techie, tried and true...my laptop and phone are specifically what I can't live without. Clothing and food are the obvious ones, *chuckle*. And people to talk to, I'm kinda social. I really need more to say here, but I can be very non-materialistic as long as I have someone there to be with.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How best to make the people around me a little happier, how to make their lives a little more interesting, even if only for a few minutes, because no matter how your day is going, if you can make someone else's a little better, then yours is instantly better.

And I was taught by my Dad to always put others before yourself, and always be the greatest gentleman you can, even more-so to a lady, and I have taken this to heart. He also taught me you must always be true to those around you and to yourself, because your word is all your born with, all that you have, and without your word you are nothing.

On a typical Friday night I am
Checking in with people to see if anything good is going on, working on work orders for the business, or practicing my poker games for when I play dealer. If/when none of the above apply, then I'm chilling with a book, the tv, or my computer, or sleeping.

Dang, I need better activities...hahaha.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well, admitting something private here makes the process of getting to know each other a little less fun, but I will inform you that I have had a kinda rough past, pertaining both to growing up and to the relationships I have been in. 'nuff said...

Also, in addition to my natural geek-dom, but I also watch Power Rangers on a regular basis...

I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18-23
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
Before messaging me, you may want to keep a few things in mind:
-I put a new definition to nerdiness: I watch Star Trek and Star Wars religiously.
-I like to think of myself as a dabbler in space physics, I am a little rusty, but I can keep up, or go too fast for people.
-I am, possibly, too knowledgeable about computers. Good for my job, not good for being social. I can do that off-handed answer to a computer problem and people think I am joking.
-I have a very good sense of humor, but my jokes can be a stretch or a little dumb at times, it happens.
-There are times where I will joke with someone, and it's taken meaner than i intend it. I joke and tease, but I never intend to hurt with my humor.

-All I hope for is similar tastes, and for the same respect I give, I'd like to receive.
