I like books, I like reading, but it's always a struggle to get
started on a book. My history with literature is shallow, some
mostly unknown books from various writers, the Harry Potter series,
and a certain foreign writer István Fekete.
If someone recommends me a book, I usually follow up. Once I get
started on one, it's difficult to stop.
Movies & Shows
That is another rather short list. My standards are quite high, the
plot has to be great, the acting brilliant, the whole thing just
bloody detailed. Or at least make me calm on the inside, restore my
faith in humanity or something.
I greatly enjoyed two Star Trek series, TNG and VOY, I liked
Generations and First Contact from movies.
I think all James Bond movies were brilliant or at least very good
before Daniel Craig took the "spy" out of James Bond.
I enjoyed the Harry Potter movies.
I'm hopelessly in love with pre-millenium British comedies, think
The Black Adder, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, You Rang M'lord?, but
I find more recent things, like Little Britain entertaining as
well.
Another rather short entry, for music.
Most of what I listen to are not widely known (but wouldn't
classify as underground). Favourites would be:
Fields of the
Nephilim,
Agalloch,
Sisters of Mercy,
The Cure,
Chiasm,
Nine Inch Nails,
Immortal,
Bauhaus,
Joy Division,
Siouxsee and the
Banshees,
Genitorturers, and other, some
well known and contemporary (or dating back to the 90s) stuff, bits
and pieces, and the freak children of the new age popular music
industry that somehow are still good (there are some!).
I also like classical music, but I haven't dived into it before, so
I couldn't mention anyone. But if you play any instruments,
consider yourself being owed a drink and perhaps dinner to.
:)
With regards to food I enjoy most things as long as it’s not tongue
numbingly spicy. I can eat things which are quite greasy all the
way through to super healthy and love it all.
I cook and bake, and luckily I resort to supermarket plastic-trayed
abominations less and less.
