My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved to the NW Suburbs earlier this year and would love to get out and meet some new people. I'm interested in dating but new friends are always welcome.

I'm never really sure what to write about myself. I'm pretty laid back. I can be a little quiet sometimes, but I warm up to people pretty quickly and can get along with anyone. My sense of humor is fairly sarcastic to borderline offensive.

I'm a bit of a nerd. My free time is usually spent playing guitar, reading, video games, or out and about grabbing a drink somewhere with friends. I also love music and go to concerts every chance I get. If you are looking for a concert buddy let me know!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm originally from Wisconsin. I lived in Milwaukee the past couple years where I finished my master's in applied economics. I am currently working as a research analyst for a non-profit medical association. I'm also studying for some certifications which will help move towards a position a little more relevant to my background.

Lately I have also been starting to get into going to the gym regularly, learning to cook more, and eating a little better. I love learning new recipes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Wasting time on the internet (mostly reddit).
Pulling things off after waiting til the last minute to do them.
Making sure friends get home safely from the bars and have a place to crash.
I'm decent at guitar and drums, but I don't get to play drums much anymore.
I've started to get pretty decent at cooking and like learning new recipes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my facial hair which is a different color from the rest of my hair. I have dark brown hair, but my beard is more of a reddish brown. I think I might be half ginger.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Fight Club, Ender's Game, Hyperion, Blink, Freakonomics, The Things They Carried. Almost anything from Chuck Palahniuk or Vonnegut. My job involves a great deal of reading, so I haven't dedicated as much time to fun reading as I would like lately.

Movies: In Bruges, Memento, Donnie Darko, Chris Nolan's Batman movies, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, District 9, Pan's Labyrinth, No Country for Old Men, Seven, Primer.

TV: I don't have cable and don't miss it. Netflix and Pirate Bay are my best friends when it comes to tv shows. My favorites are Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, BSG, Doctor Who, Archer, The League, Its Always Sunny, Lost, and Workaholics.

Music: I listen to a pretty big variety. Lately my Spotify queue has been on odd combination of folk, indie rock, progressive metal, and alternative. A few favorites: Protest the Hero, Between the Buried and Me, Coheed and Cambria, Karnivool, Bullet For My Valentine, Porcupine Tree, Corelia, O'Brother, Fair to Midland, Opeth, Murder by Death, The Mars Volta, Brand New, Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, The Decemberists, Bayside, Caravan Palace. Lots more, just depends on my mood. Anything besides country or top 40 pop really.

This section already reads like a novel...better throw some games in here too. Skyrim, Borderlands 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Walking Dead...a bunch of other stuff.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends/family,
A guitar
Music to listen to
A book to read
A good craft beer or bottle of whiskey on the shelf
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things I saw on reddit today. What concerts are coming up soon that I want to go to. Places I'd like to travel to once I have the time and money. Planning for the zombie apocalypse. How much I am going to miss Wisconsin craft beer once I move to Chicago. Where I want to end up in the future and how I'm going to get there.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies from week to week. I might be at a concert if anyone I like is in town. I might be out at a bar with friends. Some nights I might just stay in and play guitar, do some online gaming, or watch a movie. I'd like to find someone on here that enjoys a mix of going out and staying in.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Take a deep breath... I have never read a single Harry Potter book before. I can already sense the disapproving glares my profile will get for this.
