My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Mutual desire sparks a relationship. Mutual respect sustains a relationship. We need both.

I think that it can be dangerous to become overidentified with one's work. I love my work and I'm passionate about what I do, but relationships and sharing time and interests have more to do with happiness than professional accomplishment or the material trappings of success. I love travel, particularly big cities, New York, DC, London, but smaller out of the way places like Santa Fe can charm me too. I've spent a lot of my free time in the past few years working with a private foundation, and that's been tremendous fun, in terms of what I do locally, as well as seeing the world.

A healthy relationship depends on mutuality. I would like to find someone who shares my beliefs in that area. As far as other things, like music, politics, etc, I'm open to difference; in many ways, I am drawn to difference.

"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." --Rumi

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
--You have an adventuresome spirit.
--You can think ahead but are also willing to take some risks.
--You might be attracted to me and you think we have some interests and values in common, but you are not satisfied with the merely common.

--If you read this poem, and get turned on:

" There is some kiss we want with
our whole lives, the touch of

spirit on the body. Seawater
begs the pearl to break its shell.

And the lily, how passionately
it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask
the moon to come and press its

face against mine. Breathe into
me. Close the language- door and

open the love window. The moon
won't use the door, only the window."

or this:
"Love is from the infinite, and will remain until eternity.
The seeker of love escapes the chains of birth and death.
Tomorrow, when resurrection comes,
The heart that is not in love will fail the test."
