My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Every day I strive to be better than I was the day before. Kinder, smarter, more productive, a better friend, a better daughter, etc. I like to work towards something, to avoid stagnation.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I typically go dancing 2-5 days a week. My dance of choice is Lindy Hop/East Coast Swing, but I also casually do beginning ballet classes a few times a week. When I'm not dancing or working I sometimes put on some music or a documentary and work on a puzzle.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty good at explaining science concepts in an easy to understand way, since that is what I do for a living. I'm trying to be better at not caring if I look stupid when I dance.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books
I'm currently reading American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. Recent favorites include Stranger in a Strange Land, by Robert A. Heinlein, Contact by Carl Sagan, and anything by Neil Gaiman.

Shows
I'm working my way through X-Files on Netflix, but I also enjoyed early How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Archer, and Psych.

Music
Being a swing dancer, I like swing music, but I am also starting to get into other types of jazz, such as the cool jazz of Dave Brubeck (I could listen to Take Five all day). When I'm sitting around and need some background noise I prefer Neko Case, Great Lake Swimmers, or Fleetwood Mac. I will also sing along to Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and select Taylor Swift songs.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Curiosity and the means to satisfy that curiosity
-A few hours of relaxed downtime every week
-Dancing
-A meaningful job
-Dark chocolate
-Air conditioning
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typically, on Fridays I am tired from not getting enough sleep all week, so I lounge on my couch in my yoga pants, either working on my puzzle, watching Netflix, or reading a book. Occasionally I'm out dancing, where my dancing gets better with each beer I drink.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You have a good science joke to share.
-You have a book recommendation for me.
-You aspire to be just like Frankie Manning.
