I am bi-pedal, oscillating, and mildly astringent.

My Self-Summary

"Leap and the net will appear."

This has been my mantra for more years than I can remember now.
Or put another, perhaps less esoteric way -

"Fuck it."

I can't help but just roll with the punches. What else can you do? Life will go on as it always has with or without me. I like to think I know my place in the universe, constantly keeping the bigger picture in mind. I don't like borders. I'm a globalist, not a nationalist. I want to live on the space station.

What I’m doing with my life

http://dearearthling.carbonmade.com
This is pretty much what occupies my day. I'm an artist/painter and it takes up a lot of my time. I show all over the country and once in a while overseas. It's fun, but honestly, it's a complete bitch. I'm also into producing my own music, but it's more of a side hobby that's a great escape and allows me a chance to give my eyes a rest. I'm one of the not-so-new breed of "cool geeks", probably a lot like you. I love to read and to educate myself on anything that crosses my path. I've been debating moving away from Seattle for a couple of years now, but just this past summer I made some incredible new friends who've opened my world up to so many new possibilities and moments of inspiration. Plus, it's just that many more places I can hide out when I need to ditch the cops and burn my clothes.

I’m really good at

hitting the snooze button.

The first things people usually notice about me

is that I'm covered in the blood of my make-believe enemies and I've lost my galoshes somewhere once again. They also notice that I don't look anything like Tom Cruise, which is weird cuz I was raised by the same pack of hybrid alien wolf babies as he was.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music is one of those things that's ever flowing, ever changing in my life. I imagine it's much the same for everyone. Lately I've been listening to Pretty Lights, Of Montreal, Tegan and Sara, Julian Plenti, Arcade Fire, Strapping Young Lad, Leonard Cohen, The Walkmen, some shit I forget the name of, Made In Mexico, The Kills, Glitch Mob, music my friends make, and podcasts about all kinds of things - mostly paranormal type stuff and anything art/music related. I'm also a huge fan of the violin, cello, and piano. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...

The last movie I saw that I liked was Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. It's based on the German best selling non-fiction book by Stefan Aust and retells the early years of the West German militant group the Red Army Faction (RAF). It's pretty intense and if you have any interest at all in politics or government you should see it. I love the Coen Brothers. This Is Spinal Tap (especially with the commentary. Hilarious!) I've also been watching Carl Sagan's old series "Cosmos". Can't get enough of it. People probably assume I masturbate to it, but I don't. Well, not regularly anyway.

I tend to read several books at once, and right now I'm reading "Coming of Age in the Milky Way" by Timothy Ferris which is about the history of Astrophysics/Cosmology, "Ham on Rye" by Bukowski, and "Baltimore", a creepy period piece set after a fictional plague by Christopher Golden. It will probably get turned into a movie and then I'll have to defend a great book in light of a shitty Hollywood trainwreck of embarrassment. I'm always looking for great books to read, but as soon as I enter a bookstore (I still shop for them the old-fashioned way) I completely forget what I'm looking for. And I usually find that I have to use the bathroom, thus the expression, "I have to shit like I'm in a book store".

The six things I could never do without

this ash tray, this paddle ball game, this remote control, these matches, this lamp, and this chair, and that's all I need

I spend a lot of time thinking about

art, music, dancing, friends, why I waste my time on sites like this, nature, sex, the math behind it all, the unknown, and some girl that probably doesn't exist.

Oh, and why people find it so hard to use "you're" when applicable and not "your". I don't know why, but that annoys me to no end.

On a typical Friday night I am

Wondering what it's all about.
If there's a band or dj I want to check out, it doesn't matter what night it is since I work for myself and tend not to get up before it's okay to go out for a bloody mary anyway. I don't have a lot to spend, but I enjoy being able to make art for a meager living. So sometimes I'm just sitting at home painting or relaxing with a friend, listening to music, watching a film, or I could be out 'til the sun rises checking out whatever grabs my attention for the night. Like watching hooker fights on Aurora.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I like watching hooker fights on Aurora.

You should message me if

You have passion in your life and enjoy good, often deep conversation. Or if you just like to fuck off and laugh 'til you piss yourself and wake up wondering where you are and how you got there.
