I'm Nicholas, 6'2" tall and consider myself a well-mannered gentleman. I enjoy an eclectic selection of musical genres, from the likes of Def Leppard to Chris Isaak, Hans Zimmer to KC and The Sunshine Band, and love listening to non-English language artists such as Paul Piché, Wir sind Helden, A. R. Rahman and Dropkick Murphys (that really isn't English they're singing ;-). I am interested in a slew of geeky subjects including archaeology, paleontology, linguistics & learning languages, paleography, cosmology, planetary geology, pizza (that's a scientific subject, right?) and astrophysics. Now I'm a computer programmer working for a company in Munich.

I am down to earth, honest, and a hopeless romantic

I'm currently a self-employed gigolo. Er, sorry, computer programmer. I live and work in Hertfordshire, about 20 minutes north of London, though am originally from Nottingham. Sometimes I can be found at my office in Munich too.

Well, I've been told I have a soft, calm and reassuring voice, and apparently am very good with my tongue and fingertips. Sadly everyone who seems to care lives beyond the mountains and over the seas.

I would like to think that the first thing people would notice is my manners or kindness. I suspect it's more likely to be my height or hair colour though!

My favourite book would probably be, hmm, does Wikipedia count as a book? I love books, I am a book junkie, but almost all of them are non-fictional. I have some fiction by the likes of Isaac Asimov and Stephen Baxter.

My favourite movie I think would have to be Leon. Close contenders include Amelie, Monty Python and The Usual Suspects.

My favourite musical piece would be one of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, Gustav Holst's The Planets or Hans Zimmer's soundtrack to the film Gladiator.

My favourite foodstuff is either Káposztás Tészta or Gombapörkölt.
