interesting, oddly amusing, and endearing
My self-summary Propose an edit
As with anything, this is a work in progress and changes as I
change and evolve.. for some reason, however, it keeps turning out
very boring, and I'd like to think that I, myself, am not as boring
as I describe myself. I mean that would be just sad and
pathetic.
But perhaps my problem is that I'm not easy to describe or explain
through words. Or I am delusional.. one or the other must be
true.
I think the best way to describe me is that I'm constantly in flux
learning new things about myself and the world around me. I like
meeting new people that I can relate to on some level. I'm fairly
intelligent, but not pompous. I'm confident in many ways, and then
not in so many others. I'm funny in ways that aren't in your face.
I don't tell good jokes for example. But I can come up with a
pretty decent come back on occasion.
I'm at a really good place in my life. I tend to connect well with
others, and I've been told that I make people feel as if we've
known each other forever. When I like you or love you, I tend to
like you or love you forever. I'm still friends with almost all my
exes. Not sure what that says about me. :) As much as I take some
of what I do very seriously, I don't take myself that seriously.
I've got an odd sense of humor. But most of all, I'm very real.
Once you're allowed to get to know me, you never have to wonder
where you stand with me. I'm open and honest, some times to a
fault.
I don't like labels, but just so there's no miscommunication I'm
what is commonly referred to as a BBW. If you don't like fat chicks even as friends...
then we pretty much shouldn't waste our time even saying hi to each
other. I don't expect everyone to be attracted to me, but I do
expect everyone to respect me. I will not tolerate anything
less.
I'm married, and only looking for friends. Right now, I have
everything in my life that I want relationship wise. My husband is
well aware that I have this profile. Nothing I am doing is behind
his back so don't contact me for some illicit sex. In fact, if your
partner doesn't know you're meeting people on here.. even as
friends, then I'm guessing we won't get along very well.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I shape young minds as a University Professor. I love what I do
most of the time, but as with any job, there are days where I want
to jump out of my office window. I'm only on the second floor so
this isn't as extreme as it sounds. :)
Lately I've been very geeky. I've recently started to play Dungeons
and Dragons, and I'm starting to collected fun odd board games like
Starfarers of Catan, Carsaconne, and Powergrid!
Changing.. I'm not the same person I was six months ago, and I'm
not sure I'm the same person I was two weeks ago. It isn't a bad
thing.. just a thing. I'm excited about meeting new friends, and
those that I have met in the last six months have enriched my life
in really really wonderful ways.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
connecting with people. I tend to be easy to talk to, and as my
friends will tell you, I like deep meaningful conversations. I'm
not the type of person who just takes things on the surface. I want
to understand meaning and motivation. This drives people batshit
insane. I understand this, and do what I can to spare people as
much as possible. :)
I'm also a flirt. I tend to flirt with everyone. It's just my
way...

I'm not sure I have a typical Friday night. Since it is just about
summer right now, I will be spending many Friday nights in the
pool. I also like getting together with friends to just hang out or
play Rock Band.

I have been known to put down the window of the car and moo at cows
as I drive by.. works much better when I'm the passenger. :)
